  1. I dont use superglue, I use e6000, and lots of it as it creates a rubberised encasement around the elastic. Having just had to rip some of this off my armour I can definetly say it isn't going to come off in a troop. I also found it doesn't actually seep through, so I just use normal g clamps to hold it in place.
  2. Finish my ROTJ E-11, something that seems close to impossible at the moment. Then EIB and maybe Cent. Finish my Royal Guard.
  3. Hi Could I please request updated status: http://www.501st.com/members/displaymemberdetails.php?userID=15228 Cheers, and happy xmas
  4. I tried TSW, was OK but it tried to hard to break the MMO mould I thought, and really didn't manage it.
  5. Played WoW for over 6 years, quit now though. Have a lifetime sub to LOTRO and play GW2 as well. My missus plays as well. Gave up on SWTOR, even Star Wars can't redeem that rubbish.
  6. Ah ok, sorry, i thought you were using it as shipped Out of interest, did th eedges need any kind of sealing after trimming? thanks!
  7. Be interesting to see how you get on with this, spent ages comparing my cfo to the CRL and I feel everything is good for all levels, except the belt which is over 1inch wider than suggested.
  8. I've always been very proud of my geeky / nerdy side and always been very open about it but, I suppose, I'm lucky in that most people don't perceive me that way initially. I'm as open about my fetish lifestyle, published erotica photography and my sexuality as I am about my comics and starwars figure collection. I've always had the view that if I'm open about everything, the people that stay as my friends, are the worthwhile ones.
  9. I like a lot of scifi, but not to quite the same extent. I really enjoy all the stargates, B5, Andromeda, Farscape. Not a huge STrek fan, but I enjoy it. I don't actually read much scifi, though!
  10. I'm sure the gear will be ok, but I'd be sure to have somone in the pool just in case you don't surface or you get disorientated and dont recover as quickly as you think you can. It doesn't matter how deep it is, or isn't, if you aren't upright quickly. Also the helm flooding with water is psychologically very different to being submerged with a bare face. But good luck and post photos
  11. Thanks all, I'll see how I can relocate them but it's interesting to see that others think the static is very loud as well.
  12. This afternoon I also decided to try the original mic, just to check (the one in my lid is an Olympus ME 52) with pretty much identical results, except that as it was on my lips more or less, my voice slightly came throguh better. That said, it's still totally drowned out by the static.
  13. I have awful visions of people wondering why my voice is coming out my cod.
  14. I'm not using a switch, i don't use PTT. I've just realized the huge typo in my post! Sorry! I was looking at my armour and wondering where I could relocate one of the units to, not a lot of choice.
  15. hey everyone, Looking for some advice. I have an iComm + akar amp. both mounted in my chest piece and wired to a small mic in my helm, you can see a pic here: ----------- I really don't want to use it with push to talk, one less thing to think about but I'm finding that it pops and does the noises almost continually, regardless of what I'm doing. Furthermore, my voice doesn't appear to come through the amp unless I literally yell (at which point it comes out the helm as well!). The static seems incredibly loud compared to my voice as well, if I turn the amp up to hear the voice, it's just daft, I really couldn't walk round like that, it leaves my ears ringing! Not sure if I've missed some setting or something to balance the voice with effects? Any advice welcome Thank you.
  16. Hey there I use an iComm + Aker amp for the voice-------------
  17. So I decided to stop being a wimp and reshape my thighs with a heat gun. After much scientific measuring, it seemed that jamming a bluray box into the thigh to get the shape, then gently heating the ABS to "hot" to soften it, then letting it cool to keep the new shape seemed the best idea. I say best idea, I mean best guess. Even "best" is pushing it - but it worked! From top to bottom, before, during and after. It doesn't look much but the difference is huge - no pain. Thanks for all the advice guys. This was the last bit I needed so I finally have also applied for clearance
  18. Thats ok, Ive been playing SWTOR since launch and thought you meant a class (the Imp version of the trooper is the bounty hunter)! I think I know who you mean though, the full armour trooper style guards on Korriban and the like?
