  1. Hasnt that got the wrong scope rail for ANH I thought solid jails were ROTJ only. Also, the forward small curved, blast guard (or whatever it's called) isn't on? I built a ANH e-11 from DD for the hell of it, and the kit contained both curved guards, seen here: ----------- Edit, thats not my E-11 but a ANH one.
  2. RomFX, having tried others, it's far superior in customization and so on and works like a dream. But it's a long wait list - I was lucky to get one 2nd hand.
  3. Well it's not really new is it? I mean it's what Banks do more or less.
  4. Two 50mm PC fans, soldered to 2 battery packs, fans in front, batteries in the sides, works just fine. My battery packs even have on/off swtiches, total cost, around 20EUR
  5. I had to do my thighs and calves because of this. Just make the shims bigger, fill and sand any gaps and it'll be fine. It's a good feeling that first time you put them on and they a) close and don't leave blood!
  6. It's most of my birthday - 13047 13th April '71
  7. I enjoy walking around with just my undersuit and the thighs on. As they go on first, it's a common practice. Wait, did I just type that?!
  8. I have Cfo, it's a hell of a suit. I'm 6 foot and muscular so I had to widen my thighs, shins and biceps but other than that, the whole thing fit my height perfectly and is worth every penny. They supply everything (inc. gloves, but I actually replaced these as they were too big for me) except: boots, suit, balaclava (if you want it), voice changer, holster and gun. Now, something to be aware of is that if you want a screen accurate rotj E-11, it's NOT EASY. There's not one you can buy, like doopydoos for ANH. I've finally got mine after 6 months and I'm scratch building another.
  9. 10 mins or so, the two things I have problems with are attaching my shoulders and my TD.
  10. Thighs are the worst mate, they took the longest part of the whole thing for me. Stick em in a box for a week, then get them out and look at them in a fresh light.
  11. Some of us don't have the choice: ROTJ: Traps/tears and tube stripes shall be decals (with the correct ROTJ details), not hand-painted or decals that replicate hand painted.
  12. Yes, this confused me. Considering the lengths people go to get springs and stuff in there, to see a CRL pic that is filled in, was a suprise. Still, I guess whoever makes the CRLs knows what they are doing so as long as I stick to that, they can't really argue
  13. So the crl photo and the link (thanks) didnt have either, but the original does have the lever. thanks.
  14. Hey guys, Wanted your views on if the E-11 has the bayonet lug or not? The CRL photo doesn't appear to have it. And same for the (correct name?) Cocking lever. thanks all.
  15. I'd guess Im in the 95% 6 foot and relative build. Best get the knife out.
  16. Yeah my belt is CfO and I've asked the best way to trim it... now all's i need is to, yknow, DO IT.
  17. Hey there Looking at my suit for EIB status and wanted to be clear on this CRL point: Belt shall be between 2.25" (57mm) and 2.5" (64mm) wide, not 3"(90mm) as in ANH/ESB. I assume (should never assume!) that refers to the material part of the belt only? Yes, yes, it's an amusing mental image of me trimming down the hard bits but better to be safe.. thanks
  18. I'm sure all garrisons have slightly different methods, but I assume it was a forum you signed up to, so you shouldve at least got an automated email or something in return. if not, I'd get in touch with them just to check.
  19. Applying to yuor garrison is just joining a forum - how long that takes depends on the garrison I guess. Usually when you've completed your armour, you'll apply to your garrison for clearance AND to the 501st for a designation at the same time. For instance, I joined the UK Garrison then, when my armour was does I submitted my clearance pics to the UKG and my app to the 501st. They talk to each other and 3 weeks later, I was cleared and had my TK number.
  20. I loved getting my box, I got it at work - suffice to say the office didn't do much that afternoon!
  21. Thanks for the responses. Just to clear something up, so nothing gets out of hand - I am not in anyway suggesting the company, or Jim, are in any way unprofessional or trying to fob me off. I have a problem, as do others and regardless of how we fix it, the makers have been nothing but helpful to me from initial purchase right through to my mails and this post.
  22. I've been a bit lax in my testing but it's not improving, no matter what I do. Also, recently, a thread was started on the UKG forums about this exact problem, from members I don't even know - the same uber loud static and so on.
