  1. Unfortunately your links are not working, you need to give access to them From the CRL: FX helmet is no longer permitted for new approvals.

  5. You can wedge some offcuts of plastic between the cap and faceplate to keep it in position and to stop it moving, glue doesn't really like sticking to the rubber.
  6. Some helmets had a small rise in the middle of the brow trim I do prefer the straighter look though.
  7. Only this for L3, so you should be ok: Back plate shall have no, or minimal overlap of the kidney plate. I don't think it's going to change too much if you add the V tabs on the sides, you could even try slightly tighter strapping before trying the V tabs mod.
  8. Can't say I've seen any mp3's, here's a video clip of it, should be able to edit it to a mp3 then remove background noise From memory there is a conversation in Rogue One too. I'll have a dig around when I have some more time.
  9. Slow and steady, when it comes to reducing any gaps look at what part of the ear is touching, this is the area you will need to trim to reduce the gap. Fitting ears is really a tedious job and most find it difficult their first time around.
  10. Looking good, a few things you may wish to consider if going all the way to Centurion: See if you can bring your shoulders in a little more at the top to reduce the black showing. There should be a minimal gap between the shoulder armor and the chest/back plates. You may notice in this image below that your brow trim is on a slight angle. Belt could come up just a little Looks like you may have over trimmed your large ab plate, should be material left around it's base The top of the ABS belt shall sit at or just above the bottom of the central and vertical ab button panels. A slight overlap is suggested, but not required. You may need tighter strapping between your backplate and kidney, you have a small gap. Back plate shall have no, or minimal overlap of the kidney plate. Try to centralize the shoulder strap on your right side back, note it's almost slipping off the backplate. You could trim the excess off your belt, they normally would sit just under or at the end of the TD Tops of the ab / kidney should be at the same level On the sides you have a bap between your posterior and kidney at the front, V tabs can help this With a oven or heat gun you bend strips of ABS plastic into the shape of a V, only glue one side and the other remains free to allow movement when you bend. Just helps stop the butt plate from pushing back from the back plate. Corners of the plastic belt look a little big The corners of the plastic ammo belt shall be trimmed at a 45 degree angle that that meets the outer edge of the cloth belt. Angle of your left ear is a little further backwards than the ideal position The "ideal" ear placement is as seen below, where the screws line up with the rear angle of the trap right above it. Because some armorers design their helmets differently or send them pre-assembled this is not always possible to achieve, but it is suggested that you try to get as close as you can. Note: Top ear screws should ideally be located directly below the rear of the trap. Also note your GWL will appreciate if you use a blank background, contrasting color works best to edit images (al so for EIB) Like I say all of these are just for higher levels, you should be ok for basic approval, depending on your GML
  11. Sorry missed that one.
  12. Normally you would try on the armor pieces with the undersuit and boots on (for legs), A fingers width is all you need for space once the armor is positioned in the right position. Make sure when you are trimming the backs to trim central to the top cover strip. Yes you can trim your forearms to match for more movement. You will also notice many armor makes have one oval and one round rear forearm, you can leave them as is, some use a hot water bath and heat and squash more oval, especially if you have skinny arms. A great thread on return edges. Also we have a gallery area full of references if you need to do some comparisons https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/gallery/category/19-ottk-reference/ Welcome, looking forward to following the rest of your build
  13. 7mm was just the head size not the thread, head size can vary from 5-7mm depending on what is available TM reference: M3.5 x 25mm Supertrooper: 4/40 flat machine screws ATA: 4/40 flat machine screws A few threads on thread sizing:
  14. For Level 3, all ear screws must be "..slotted, flat-topped, countersunk and painted white". Note: The recommended screw head size is #6/32 (7mm), with a length between 3/4" to 1" (17 to 25mm).
  15. Note: it is not a requirement only a suggestion so don't stress if you can't align the ears this way, some screen used helmets did not align perfectly The "ideal" ear placement is as seen below, where the screws line up with the rear angle of the trap right above it. Because some armorers design their helmets differently or send them pre-assembled this is not always possible to achieve, but it is suggested that you try to get as close as you can. Note: Top ear screws should ideally be located directly below the rear of the trap.
  16. Every little bit adds up in the end
  17. Nice work, doesn't look too dissimilar, apart from sizing on some areas. I guess really it would come down to sizing to fit the person which may impact the look. It still amazes me the skill of those who design and make 3D files, I designed a spacer once, also added some recesses to some files but that's the limit of my skills and brain power.
  18. Here are some great threads, I encourage you to have a good read through them, ears are the worst and do take a considerable amount of time and care to get right, adding a step also helps them to sit a little flusher. Some references of screen helmets, many had gaps, now these are "Stunt" versions Rubber S trim will take up some room, looks like you can remove a little more from under the front of the chin. One thing I can see though is heat bubbling, if it was me I would request another faceplate from the maker. References from underneath Your thread says "Hero" but they have a few differences to the standard "Stun" version, here are a few just on the helmet: 3 bumps on the ears, only one painted Bubble lenses 6 teeth cut out 2 ear screws Black inside sides of mic tips (not white like "Stunt") NOTE no indents of outer teeth recess More references here http://www.starwarshelmets.com/original-ANH-hero-Stormtrooper-armor-helmets.htm Make sure you compare with the CRL text https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TK_anh_hero With changing of a helmet and a few other pieces you can actually do 4 versions of Stormtrooper: ANH Hero ANH Stunt ESB Heavy Weapons something to keep in mind for later. 19. Reply to your PM sent, info added to that. Forum only allows a few small images, most of us use a free online image host, upload your photos there once you make an account then copy and past the links into your build thread, info here https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/48799-posting-photos-using-imgur-101/
  20. Yes as long as you meet the CRL requirements for both costumes, you can also do this with ESB by swapping a helmet and a few other pieces. A grappling hook and droid caller are not required but are an option for Hero TK.
