  1. Just got the same news from another member who purchased, appears BBTS has a better supply than Anovos themselves
  2. You may find the details are not as crisp as other armor. At the end of the day as others have said recasting is frowned upon but it's entirely up to you if you wish to purchase, personally I would not just to save a few $'s, you are basically endorsing their recasting efforts. As will all costume approvals it ultimately comes down to a decision of your GML (garrison membership liaison) perhaps reach out to him/her. Going through a vetted seller you are assured of a quality product and most importantly delivery
  3. A lot of people have AP and are happy with them, lots of build threads you could look through to see quality and size
  4. 7 1/4 to 7 1/2 is fine the CRL dimension is approximate length.
  5. Not bad since they were going to get them out before Celebration. It’s not doing anything for their reputation
  6. Yes two fans but they are wired separately, only really need one fan to stop lens fogging, these use a 4 x AA battery pack each, some use USB battery packs. I just use an Aker 1506 amp, you keep the amp in the belt pouch and run the cable/mic up under the armor to the helmet. Check out Tony's @ukswrath sales thread he does a nice fan setup also links to his FOTK build and accessories
  7. E6000 is the safest, you may find over time the foam can rip off, but that does take some time. What can also help keep them straight is looping some elastic through the front boot loop then adding snaps to that and inside the shin, or Velcro, stops them from drifting upwards or sideways.
  8. Depending on what you are using you can normally once uploaded to Imgur right click and select copy then paste directly into your post, the other is to select "direct link" and paste that into the post When in doubt with trimming head to the reference gallery, lots of great info there to follow
  9. Its the normal way of doing it, or use elastic and hooks
  10. You don't need to leave very much return edge, if at all. With the thighs try to make sure your cuts/joins are as straight as possible, you want little to know gap where the cover strips won't cover, using a block of wood with sandpaper wrapped around can be useful. When ever in doubt check the reference gallery
  11. All the info I give you will be for costume approval, my TFA Anovos helmet is approved to Centurion (level 3) I prefer plastic as I have neck issues, I have the premier Anovos fibreglass helmet too but that is really heavy in comparison. One good thing with the plastic Anovos helmet is you don't need to paint, there are paints that will match it, but if you buy fibreglass or resin you will have to paint. I have owned other resin and fibreglass helmets, to me they are pretty much the same except for weight. Most of my original trilogy Stormtrooper helmets are ABS plastic, again very light.
  12. You will find Jimmiroqui is mostly on Facebook and not the forums, you'll find quite a few build threads. If you go through the build threads you'll see armor from various makers, look at the headings of the builds If you look at the Resources link I gave you you'll find boots, gaskets etc. If you want a light plastic TFA helmet Big Bad Toy Store have Anovos on sale and apparently in stock https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/VariationDetails/22866 There are other suppliers of resin helmets, many you'll also find in the build threads sections. Unfortunately since their earlier pre release armor Anovos have dropped the ball with delivery of their pre orders, many still waiting from 4 years ago. No one stop shop for everything unless you want to wait with an Anovos order, and who knows when they will deliver.
  13. Would you have any video of it in action
  14. Probably not, it's a bit like seeing "Mr Nostripes" in ANH, it's not approvable. CRL's are made with consistency in mind and the general look is used, if the majority is Anthology that's what the CRL will be made up of. It will be a bit odd having a series after ROTJ using pre ANH armor but then the mouse doesn't care what costumers think.
  15. Hello and welcome aboard, some great ATA build threads on the forums to follow. Also check out the gallery section, you will find every reference you need to assemble the armor Just remember the old saying, measure twice and cut once. Good luck and looking forward to seeing some progress pics
  16. I'll ping this request to command staff so hopefully it will be addressed soon.
  17. Was not meant to be dismissive at all, Ize isz noza goodz wid wordz In hindsight "Only" was incorrect term to use.
  18. Hello and welcome aboard. Which version of the FOTK? there are 3, here are the CRL's, base 501st requirements for costume approval TFA https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TK_-_First_Order TLJ https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TK_TLJ TLJ - E https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TK_TLJ_Executioner TFA builds area https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/152-tfa-stormtrooper/ TLJ builds area https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/195-tlj-build-threads/ Resources thread https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/34166-first-order-stormtrooper-resources/#comments A great build to follow is Tony's @ukswrath https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/31877-ukswraths-fotk-build-thread/ Research is the key so you have a bit of reading in front of you, have a look through some of the build sections, you may find armor maker info, good luck and hope to see a build thread from you soon
  19. I use 3 Dremel's I hate having to change tips in between a dream trimming run For straighter sections you can use a block of wood with sandpaper wrapped around.
