Rest in Peace Jennifer Riddle, TK-9496 (jnnfr72)
Vader Rocks replied to captsafe66's topic in Announcements
I was so shocked to hear about this yesterday. Jenny and Mark Ryner were the first troopers I met when I first looked into joining the legion. She was so supportive and helpful while I was building my tk and then snuck away from work for about an hour to suit up when I did my first troop. Such a great person, always had a smile and could make ya laugh at anytime. She will be greatly missed -
This is a great thread you've got going. For myself, anything GUNS N' ROSES would do the trick for an intro. That band has been my soundtrack since I was 13yrs old. The only thing I have more of in this house besides the obvious SW items is Slash. Albums, posters, guitars, store displays, action figures, etc.... You name it, I've probably got it. I always thought "Ladies and Gentlemen" by Saliva would make a good intro as well.

The actual parade march is only about ten minutes, but there is a lot of "hurry up and wait" time spent in the backstage area. Keep in mind that it is May into June in the middle of Florida, so it'll be warm no matter what. I've done the last two years and always do the first weekend, temps seem to be pretty tolerable.

I plan on attending the first weekend again. Marched the last two years, its an awesome experience. I always tell troopers its something you have to experience at least once in your trooping career.

Sweet, have fun with it and remember, don't rush it. Research as much as you can and measure twice/cut once. Looking forward to watching your progress. -
Making some good progress there trooper. You don't see many ROTJ TK's around. Looking forward to seeing this armor together.

I've been trying to add photos to my Field Training thread, and the "Image Properties" block stays in the middle of the screen and I can't move forward. Using photobucket and internet explorer. Anyone have any ideas??

Ok, gotcha. I didn't really see anything specific they were trying to sell it along with being with all the other adhesives. Thanks for the update Vern

I came across this at the local WalMart the other day. I didn't get it or haven't used it, but just though I'd share as maybe a new possibility for armor assembly if anyone was interested in trying something new.

CSL-0692's Mini TK armor build
Vader Rocks replied to Vader Rocks's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
YAY!!!! We were finally able to get back to this build last night. We worked on this until about 4am this morning, so needless to say, we're little worn out right now. Mom and Dad got there homework done since our last session. They finished the limbs with coverstrips and added the snap plates. William's new boots arrived Friday, perfect timing. He just couldn't handle the excitement anymore, he nodded off around midnight while worked at the helmet, strapping, belt, etc.... And here is his first full fitting. HE LOVES IT!!! Definitely requires some tweaking and strap reworking, especially those bells, but pretty pleased with how this came out. This is my first helmet build, not my favorite part by a long shot. There's a lot of time consuming adjustments trying to get those ears to sit correctly, but i'm sure it's just due to inexperience. We did decide to use fokker210's idea on what to do with the mic tips, so thanks for sharing, it was very helpful. Little guys mom and dad have there homework and they said he WILL be ready for Halloween. -

Been too long, sorry for the lack of updates. We haven't gotten together to work on little guys armor for a few weeks, but here's the pics I promised in my last post. I think Clamps would be proud of some of these -

Great to see another one of these popping up. Haven't gotten back together with our little future tk for a few weeks since they've been on vacation and I've been keeping busy, but I think i'll have to try that mic tip trick on his. Thanks for posting this build. -
