  1. Saw this pic come across my FB newsfeed, I had no words to describe it. Then you read the story that goes along with it, truly heart warming. Well done trooper. Makes me proud to be a member of this tremendous group.
  2. That's AWESOME!! Stories like this is one of the things I love about doing what we do. Great work troopers
  3. Great pics, love the one of all the buckets lined up across the table
  4. This is a great story. Nice to see trooping be a family thing. My dad and I are fellow troopers as well.
  5. You are, moving right long. Keep up the good work trooper.
  6. Thanks. He loved being able to get all suited up finally.
  7. Ok, gotcha. I didn't really see anything specific they were trying to sell it along with being with all the other adhesives. Thanks for the update Vern
  8. I came across this at the local WalMart the other day. I didn't get it or haven't used it, but just though I'd share as maybe a new possibility for armor assembly if anyone was interested in trying something new.
  9. YAY!!!! We were finally able to get back to this build last night. We worked on this until about 4am this morning, so needless to say, we're little worn out right now. Mom and Dad got there homework done since our last session. They finished the limbs with coverstrips and added the snap plates. William's new boots arrived Friday, perfect timing. He just couldn't handle the excitement anymore, he nodded off around midnight while worked at the helmet, strapping, belt, etc.... And here is his first full fitting. HE LOVES IT!!! Definitely requires some tweaking and strap reworking, especially those bells, but pretty pleased with how this came out. This is my first helmet build, not my favorite part by a long shot. There's a lot of time consuming adjustments trying to get those ears to sit correctly, but i'm sure it's just due to inexperience. We did decide to use fokker210's idea on what to do with the mic tips, so thanks for sharing, it was very helpful. Little guys mom and dad have there homework and they said he WILL be ready for Halloween.
  10. Been too long, sorry for the lack of updates. We haven't gotten together to work on little guys armor for a few weeks, but here's the pics I promised in my last post. I think Clamps would be proud of some of these
  11. Great to see another one of these popping up. Haven't gotten back together with our little future tk for a few weeks since they've been on vacation and I've been keeping busy, but I think i'll have to try that mic tip trick on his. Thanks for posting this build.
  12. Reading this months newsletter, I took to heart the slow down in field training exercise reports. I used to report after every troop, then issues with the uploading to photobucket (not a good excuse I know) and then I took somewhat of a leave of absence from trooping over these last couple of months due to personal reasons. Now i'm back in full swing and like I used to, signing up for any of them I can do. The Bloodfin Garrison and Fire Team 500 were out in full force and pulling double duty yesterday. Our first troop was the 8th Annual Vision Walk in downtown Indianapolis. We put smiles on tons of faces that would make the emperor proud.
  13. Was able to get a little more work done on this little guys armor this last Sunday, hope to post pics tonight when I get them transferred over.
  14. Sorry Walt, no updates yet. We were supposed to get together this past weekend some more tk building fun, but the sickness bug struck and had to cancel plans. Maybe this weekend being a holiday and all.
  15. Looking forward to watching your progress on this. I'm in the middle of assisting a future mini tk with his build. We'll be back at it this weekend it appears.
