  1. I got mine from Debbi (Ladysewforus) Sure a little wait but well worth it. super comfy, well made, great customer service, and I love having the zipper instead of the velcro closer.
  2. I built my blaster, researched build threads, and looked at a lot of EI and Centurion request threads. I knew I wanted to take my build to Centurion and figured the best way to do that is learn from those that have passed that way before me. Make a checklist of the tools and supplies you may need for your build, it seemed like I always needed something or could have used more of something when I was doing my build. Oh yeah I watched ANH-ROTJ many times over and over on Bluray..
  3. Don't throw in the towel yet. your build looks quite good, The fixes that people mentioned are fairly painless fixes, mostly looking at strapping and perhaps some velcro in places. I'm 6'2" and am in ATA with a longer torso. Not everyone is built like a screen TK. With a few adjustments you will be there.
  4. Looking at a different frown color on the bucket, ANH is gray while the ESB and ROTJ are black. Also if you plan on taking your build to EI or Centurion you will also want the correct ESB E-11 blaster it does have different greeblies then the ANH version. Also there will be no shoulder bell strap that runs across the bicep. Not super familiar with the ESB TK but just some of the differences. I'm sure some ESB TKs will give you some great advice.
  5. Don't forget the tools you will need to do your build. Glue, rivit gun, paint, and the list goes on.
  6. Congrats Mark! Waiting is the hardest part, but this is good time to do more research and acquire all the other necessary items you will need for your build. I spent time getting all my soft parts, such as boots, holster, kneckseal ect. I also looked at others EI and Centurion request threads, it was good to know what I needed to do to acheive this before I even started my first cut. Have fun with your build and post some pics.
  7. Only thing I see and it's a small detail is perhaps moving the TD faceplate and having it more centered looks like in the photo the gray area is a bit uneven but otherwise looking good Andy!
  8. I own the ATA helmet and really love it, but with your dimensions for your head and kneck I would go with the RT bucket. Also as nick stated you may want to consider going with the RT chest and back. If you plan on pushing your build to EI or Centurion standard it will save you time and modification down the road.
  9. Thank you everyone! This is a huge honor to be able to represent the FISD as a TK Centurion. I've only been with the FISD community since October of last year but everything I do revolves around my build (as my wife can attest to). I've learned a lot and have made many friends in this hobby and am better for it. There is nothing like seeing people smile and children light up when they see you and knowing you may have made their day better. Again thank you, Thalizar TK-3967 Dan
  10. Thank you, I will work on the shoulder bells to get them lifted.
  11. I used that site as well, it was very helpful in getting me started.
  12. Thank you everyone. This has really been a labor of love for me, hoping it will be enough to pass. After receiving the Lightsaber the wife started to go through numbers in her head of how much this build was costing (thought I was hiding the cost pretty well). I started to get a bit worried, but she said "having you fulfill your dream since we met is priceless." That is why I love this woman!
  13. Great work so far. I was pretty nervous about my helmet build. When I first opened the box I stood there basking in all it's glory. Then it hit me, where the hell do I even start... But after getting that bucket built everything else just fell into place.
  14. That looks amazing! I would love to have a Deathtrooper.
  15. Great newsletter as always. And congrats to LadyinWhite!
  16. I linked my EI request thread, it does contain many of the pictures that are required for Cenurion. I have also included the key elements for Centurion in the following pics. http://forum.whitear...showtopic=18552 Helmet bar detail. Straps. Kidney plate rivits. Game version detonator. Starkiller Lightsaber from Nocturne Armory. No return edges. No rivits or snaps on crotch pieces. Some shots with the saber. Hope I remembered everything. And some pics that may be relevant from my EI submission. Brad rivit for the thigh pack. Closed drop boxes. Rubber gloves and layex hand guards. Profile pics. AB buttons, fifth button added. Some fun pics.
  17. From one TKC to another, it looks great Sean!
  18. So as it reads in the TKC CRL for EI. E-11 ESB for approval. ROTJ style E-11 (should be) in the extended position for EI, for Centurion (will be) in the extended position. I say forgo the blasters all together and get a Starkiller lightsaber.
  19. That's pretty sweet. Could pick up that full leather trooper race suit to go with it.
  20. That's awesome! Where is Daisy Duke?
  21. I have a neckseal from Debbi and love it! It's super comfortable, and the full zipper is very nice, I prefer the zipper to velcro. I have no experience with the neckseal from Trooperbay so I can't give an opinion on his. I have ordered other items from him and have been very pleased with his products.
