Yeah I'll be there. Hoping to have most everything complete. Perhaps some minor assembly but mostly strapping.

Did some work on the AB plate I trimmed down the AB button plate since it sat to hight then trimmed it with a two part flexible compound that I use for sportbike fairing repair. Also added the fifth vertical button location using two part modeling compound and finished it off with squadron putty. With the shoulder bells I liked the battle worn I've been through hell look, so I decided to add some blaster hits into them. I heated the back of the bells and made slight depressions into them. I then weathered the bells and then did some drybrushing on the hits to give them a scoring effect. will go back and do some touch up effects on the armor when completed.

Hello everyone, I'm still fairly new to the 501st, and my first armor build of any type. This an ATA kit that will make it's transformation into a TKC. I will need to make some modifications to be able to get EIB and that is in the works. Still need to paint the ear screws. The picture does not show the weathering as much, did not want to overdo the weathering as to look like a sandy, can always go back and add if need be. I used Testors "Blue Angels blue" and I believe it was a pretty good match. Any pointers from any other TKC's would be greatly welcome. As I get more done I will post updated pics.

Would the ANH blaster still work?

Figured if I were to have a weapon it would be a blaster. To me the blaster is as iconic as the trooper. Could have both. On the subject of weapons. Going to need a ROTJ blaster, now that I have a ANH version... what would be the recommendation for a lightsaber?

So it should be a ROTJ holster worn on the right side then? Wanted to be sure before I committed to it.

Which holster should be used for the TKC? ANH or ROTJ? Or does it matter the CRL shows a ANH but I've seen builds using a ROTJ one.

Hello getting ready to start my TKC build and have been doing a bit of research. I've noticed that the paint pattern differ in pictures. I've noticed that some taper only in the front but stay wide in the back of the helmet. But on the CRL page looks like it tapers down the front and back. Which is correct?

Looking for a resource for armor trim or gasket material, does anyone know where to get the trim or have used a trim that you would recommend? Need to aquire some material for my TKC build.

Perhaps someone can point me in the right direction to find fully ribbed shoulder straps to replace the ones with the flat ends. Been looking but to no luck. Thank you

Hey can anyone point me in the right direction to acquire a ROTJ thermal detonator? Need one to replace my ANH one. Also are there replacement ab button plates available? Or do I need to cut and turn my button plate to make it ROTJ style? Thanks

Just the opoisite feeling for me, the build since it's my first i do have a small bit of apprehension. Just learning where I need to put straps, rivits, velcro, and how to attach everything. The painting I'm not that nervous about, I do alot of airbrush work, painting, and doing it on motorcycles, not to worried about the painting. I just want to make sure the build is correct and that everything fits together correctly.

Well I have ATA kit coming so I'm going to have to work with that. I will have to do some modification to make it work. Will have to do more research. Butt and kidney plate as one unit may be tricky. Thanks, Dan

Hello everyone, Was just wondering if an ATA set would be ok for a base to build a TKC. Please let me know if I'm way of base here, looking around it seems to me that the TKC is derived from an ANH set, unless you want to be centurion level and you need the CO2 canaster to be ROTJ style. Would really want to go this route, I'm an airbrusher and seeing the blue on the armor really makes it stand out for me. I love the color and look of it. Any information you can throw my way would be great. Thanks, Dan

Hard part is waiting. I'm pretty excited! I'm hooked! got the bug bad! I'm already thinking of the next build and I have not even started this one yet. lol Thinking perhaps a Clone Trooper but been looking at a Scout Trooper as well, I just want to have a set of scout armor and do a fly by on my bike just to see their expression, it would be worth it. Scout armor would so go with my cycle.

Thanks Jenny, I went with ATA. Currently looking into other items I will need to make it Expert level. I figure if I build it at expert will save me time and perhaps money in the long run. Hate to have to go back and modify a built piece if I can avoid it. Just on the waiting list until my kit is ready. So advice on an expert build would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all, Dan
