  1. I found it. Thanks for the link. I did did some work on the ab boxes today. Trimmed the a little tall so I could then dial them in with a contour tool. I also think I need to heat up the openings and slip them over the vacuumformed boxes on the abdomen. The pull on those boxes flares out a bit so the trimmed boxes won’t fit over them unless that’s normal and I just bondo /devcon the gap
  2. Yeah. It’s one of the hardest and that before you have to paint it.
  3. Forearms sucks and KB’s are no different in the level of suck. It also doesn’t help that I stupidly trimmed them all wrong. I’m not exactly having fun with this build. The parts I got really have no detail lines where the mold ended and that continues to trip me up. I’m going to see about getting a set of his new easy build forearms
  4. I can’t seem to find him here on the forum. Where does he sell his aerator?
  5. helmet is painted and it’s so beautiful. 100% automotive finish from base to clear coat. The rest of the armor will be done the same way. I may may need to get an aluminum aerator instead of the cast / painted piece I have now to really finish it off. Anyone know of one for sale as well as suggestions for helmet padding.
  6. Today I learned that the suggested paint is terrible. Fisheyed and just sucked hard. I want to try the Montana gold white paint with a gloss clear but it’s an acrylic paint and isn’t as durable as a spray enamel
  7. Yes. That piece. Looks like it is a separate print. Thanks!
  8. seriously impressed by this build. Question on the print files, on the rail with the two tear drops , are the tear drops printed seperatly on the big blaster? I had support issues on the regular f11d so they are not perfect
  9. then that is what I shall do. I need to see if I have a switch to power the LED's and some form of battery to stick inside the blaster
  10. a lot of the blaster builds I have seen look matte
  11. I'm also working on my F11D and I'm almost done painting the parts I have printed and I realized I have been using gloss white and black instead of matte. I'm going to have to clear coat it with matte clear to solve the gloss issue. I also got tired of sanding and sanding and filling.... so what I end up will have to do. I did get rid of 95% of the print lines. The matte clear should also help hide some imperfections. I'm eventually going to make a heavy F11D
  12. wow, I am so glad you documented your build this well. Its going to greatly help me with my KB props build as well.
  13. https://imgur.com/gallery/wmjI1 worked on my F11D a little bit today
  14. I decided to not sell the stuff and began trimming at an armor party we had yesterday for our local squad [/img] [/img] I screwed up this forearm. I over sanded and got into the little pill shape. The pull on some details is a little soft but the armor is a lot thicker than anovos. Hopefully I can fix this. I’m stuck on how KB’s forearms go together. I’m going to put those aside and deal with them later. Might start doing body work and paint on the bucket. The lenses aren’t dark enough for my liking so I’ll put Limo tint over them
  15. -claps hands- that is some well thought out reasoning.
  16. tested the black and white paint we all love to usenfornthe FOTK and I think it came out well. The montana gold stuff isn’t going to work (photo is probably sideways for you desktop users)
  17. I went to my local Ace Hardware and they had everything other than the security torx screws
  18. what did you put inside the barrel? Im not sure if i missed it in the instructions but I don't recall there being mention of a pipe
  19. you're not going to get that from many places unless you have a lot of $$$ to burn. most of us buy kits and assemble them. try and get in contact with your local 501st garrison and see when their next armor party is so you can learn how to build your own.
  20. I'm thinking we'll have a helmet build day one Saturday soon if you're good with Saturday's or Sunday afternoons
  21. I've got a .4 nozzle so I'll give it a go. I also have some metal mesh coming so I have options. Still unsure if I want to cut the frown
  22. Luckily I didn't get early adopters syndrom with my shoretrooper! I'll roll with what I got, a vented frown will probably help a lot.
  23. If its been resolved and BSP didn't share that before I ordered his helmet and paid dearly for im going to be slightly upset.
