  1. doing stuff.... getting snaps inplace to close the back and mount the ab barrel to my suspenders. Will add more for the ab to connect to the suspender kit I have. Then I can place the butt plate and cod. I hope I don’t have to adjust much and the ab falls where it needs on me. If not I’ll remove the snaps and try again. Ill have this done in time for the 15th anniversary of Ep9
  2. Which is what I use. I always have the intention to super document like others but never follow through.
  3. I do most of my posting from my phone had to modify the shins so they would close tightly to fit the spats.
  4. I should probably do that. It’s such a pain to load photos from a phone. To this day I’ve never been on a forum that has made it easy. I plan on working more Thursday and will take photos just for you
  5. Belt is done. All boxes are mounted just need to get more snaps so I can mount the belt to the ab. Butt plate has it’s hanging mount as well. Cod is next but I ran out of snaps. Working on 3D printing hangers for the TD and I’ll use Velcro at the bottom to attach it to the kidney area.
  6. Slowly running out of stuff to do. Belt is 90% finished. Ran out of long Chicago screws so I had to order more. Also worked on butt plate and cod mounting. I need to trim my shins so they close tighter for the spats. Can’t believe I started October 2017 with this thing. I fully understand why there aren’t many build threads on the FOTK
  7. This thread needs to replace the stickied thread that’s currently referenced for KB builds. This is is what I wish I had seen before I glued my armor together.......
  8. I might go with magnets to hold on the chest piece. I might end up with the horns still sticking up slightly but hopefully not as bad as it is now. I already sketched out my back closure using magnets to close it. Just need to 3D print the tabs. Do you have a photo photo or two of your method?
  9. Working on final assembly and strapping the armor. Few issues the chest plate top horns will not sit flat, I know with screen used armor it’s cake because it’s a flexible armor set but hard ABS doesn’t play nice. I’m afraid I might have a small gap. Will probably go with magnets for the chest piece since Velcro is a pain to line up Shins need to be tightened up/ remove like 1.5” from the sides so they close tighter otherwise the spats do not fit. Also need to make the Velcro shelf for closing the shins so the overlap isn’t terrible. Need to see Velcro onto my fabric gaskets so I can stick the biceps on. I have KB’s V2 forearms and they seem chunky on my. Hoping gaskets and gloves fixes that. Also hope to make the forearms removable so I can put my helmet on and off. Ran out of industrial Velcro...oh no. This armor build is not easy.
  10. filled the back side with DEVCON and filed out the perimeter to remove any filler and filled the perimeter with devcon and leveled it out. It isnt fulled cured yet but it’s a lot more rigid and will not flex like it did before. My friend really did some top notch painting. You can see the bare plastic, primer, white, and then clear on top. im also revisiting removing the excess material inside the wedge so it’s more correct. I think I mentioned it at the start but the way to eat an elephant is one bite at a time.
  11. I did do that but not with a full length on the top portion. It’s nkt from shrinking, it’s totally from flexing the chest piece. This also also gives me an opportunity to cut oout out the inside of the part.
  12. picked uo up most of the armor from the paint shop and it looked great there but I’m guessing as I brought it home I accidentally flexed this piece and it cracked the clear/paint. Thinking I might want to glue more plastic behind this and make it more rigid? Suggestions?
  13. It was somewhat of a soft pull. I think it was made during KB’s “gotta pull armor gotta get it shipped” phase but it’s not too bad. I made it work. My friend send me a video of the armor curing it’s clear coat. I should have the armor this week and start the strapping process and glue on the greeblies.
  14. Armor was sent to a friend to paint it in his autobody shop last week. Picking up the first pieces this weekend. It's going to be ridiculously awesome.
  15. Looking at KB’s new forearms that I bought it appears the fin mod Is designed into it.
  16. That I’m working on. @bearings mentioned a notch in the forearms for better mobility.
  17. Anyone have a link to the Finn notch / mod? Search function isnt isn’t working out well for me.
  18. 2 hours later i left the belt belt a little long because I might want to trim the back so it closes tighter but I can trim from one end to cinch the belt in. But whatever it’s done and would only need small modifications. I put the gap between the two boxes at the edge of the big Ab box next up up for today maybe is to put the notches in the front of the abdomen and on the butt plate for the elastic and snaps to mount to. An an hour here and there is finally starting to add up. @ukswrath, what’s your take on the shin armor. Butt joint closure or overlap? I believe both are correct
  19. Prepped all greeblies by bagging them separately and labeling them all. Mused a heat gun to make them pliable abs adjusted those that needed it. Also put in the chest resin piece. I’m not going to cut it out. I’m just going to paint it black where it needs to be. Items left to to deal with build the belt make the back closure piece (I split the back open) adjust the shins so I can Velcro them closed. Mount shin boxes get longer screws for the metal holster (don’t be like me and cheap out on the holster. Get the included hardware) and then hen it will all be ready for paint. Aiming to get it to the paint shot next Saturday. Same awesome guy that did my bucket will be doing the armor. I can see see the light.
  20. getting closer to being ready to send it out to be painted. Working on the fine details, greeblies, and shoulder metal plate things I bought. I should be able to do a duct tape assisted wearing soon i keep working on it almost every day. An hour here and there. Hopefully it’s done before Halloween and approved. Dont mind the R2 project. I’m also in the middle of building an R2D2 as well. Can’t have just one project to overwhelm myself with.
  21. Just have the biceps to fix, trim the forearm openings, build the belt and do something about the TD. Im working with someone to 3D model the entire TD and then paint!
  22. Coming along nicely I wish I had your chest plate. Mine isn’t as sharp as your pull and maybe the resin TD.
  23. With KB's thighs I had to sculpt the top to look more correct as well since the CRL photos and the Anovos thighs aren't exactly flat across the top.
  24. ab boxes are mounted. I need to fix / clean up the center box with apoxie sculpt. I trimmed a bit too much off so I’m hoping I can fix it
