  1. Good e-friggin-nuff im going to have to take up drinking to do the chest pill holes because they are so darn soft or go with decals because srsly. Softer than soft serve ice cream from an ice cream truck.
  2. I paid for them..... just waiting now for KB to make them and ship them
  3. getting closer! Ben stopped over with a set of his anovos thighs so I could make mine look more correct since the KB thighs do not have the swoop from the knee area to the back side. Trimmed the yoke a bit so it doesnt poke me and the yoke /back plate just needs the pill holes cut out and the chest detail done. other than waiting for new forearms and to do something about the TD I am getting very close to paint.
  4. I feel like the second photo is how the holster should go. Don’t mind the top of the thigh. I still have some sculpting to the top to do. The thighs from KB are a little odd but I think they all need some trimming to be accurate / not pinch da Butt put the holster together. I should have opted for the hardware kit instead of trying to find it here to save a few bucks. Went with Allen drive machine screws since I cannot find security torx locally and this looks more spaceman than Phillips head
  5. I used super glue instead of being smart and using e6000. Usually I can break things apart cleanly with a quick snapping action but this didn’t work and it ripped the forearm apart at a crack that had formed. I managed to fix it for the most part and will probably take another stab at glueing it today. Theres going to be a lot of apoxie sclupt to fix the wrist opening, it looks like crap with this 4 piece design.
  6. And two hours later I screw up a forearm beyond repair. I hate this armor. I absolutely hate it I should have waited for BSP.
  7. Yeah. That guy. I couldn’t find it. But that image will help Trimmed these down to how I saw the anovos set and others do it. Makes a lot more sense now on assembly.
  8. would you mind sending some close up shots of your abdomen boxes. thanks
  9. that armor will never ship. I seriously do not understand why people continue to believe in them and give them money
  10. Chick-Fil-A needs to start closing on days other than Sunday.. that might help me from having to split the back plate! anyone reading have a shortcut or link to the helmet foam pattern? its a 4 fingered hand essentially. I had it for my Shoretrooper and cannot locate it. if not ill just wing it. The MICH pads are not thick enough. I need at least 3/4" or 1" foam
  11. Cool. I like it and will leave it. I just need to make sure the ab barrel at this point doesn’t knock around I do need to fill the seam where the ab box ends and its just an open hole. Apoxie sculpt to the rescue. I need to find my nylon bolts I bought to mount the ab boxes and any hardware for the holster.
  12. notice that the forearms have yet to get touched. The spats are done, just need to add greeblies and I’ll do all of those at once. Thighs are gluing up now and once I finish with them I can trim them to fit around my legs. Shins are almost done. I need to get my boots on and see where the Velcro overlap will go and make sure it’s good to go. I might get to finsihing the yoke/back piece. The abdomen/kidney plates haven’t been split at the back yet but I can fit into it without it being cut. Should I leave it or cut it so the back can cinch in ? I will say laying it all out like this helps this helps make it seem less overwhelming.
  13. I'm terrible at adding photos but I finally properly mounted the aluminum aerator to the helmet and the lens. I'm not thrilled with the BSP lens, it is not dark enough for my liking. I do not believe the vaderpaintStudios lens will fit the BSP helmet. I am going to probably order the vaderpaintStudios FOTK greeblies, it looks like his castings are far superior to anyone else. What came with mine looks like its a direct cast of a 3d printed part and has a fair amount of bubbles. this weekend ill get the thighs glued up and trimmed and hopefully get started on the cursed forearms and ab boxes. I did notice in the CRL and many build threads here that the shins and thighs either have a curved seam or a straight seam. I attempted to go for a curved seam even though the CRL makes no direct mention of it. Since I am getting the parts professionally painted is it best to assemble the belt after painted?
  14. nicely done on the belt. I was wondering how it got assembled
  15. No go on the ab piece replacement and an boxes. Saturday is a squad armor party so I aim to finish the thighs and forearms. Im going to go seamless on the ab boxes and try and cheat in some sort of line that makes them look not seamless. But there’s no going around the weak pull. It is what it is.
  16. im not going to count on the replacement ab piece so I need to use what I got. my only option is to mount the boxes and make them seamless which for base level approval should work because jimmi's armor has integrated ab boxes.
  17. KB is sending me a replacement AB piece and I think boxes. Just the ab piece would be great if thebpull is better. I will hopefully have it in it in a week or three. No rush. I have tons to work on
  18. still stuck on the ab boxes and abdomen armor. I will hopefully be getting a replacement from KB otherwise ill have to get creative. Most of the armor is glued together, minus the thighs, and forearms from hell once May passes I can once again focus hard core on the armor and get it all strapped together and then send it to paint.
  19. I would avoid bondo. what you want to use is a flexible filler like Evercoat PolyFlex
  20. how bad were your belt boxes? my KB ab plate does not allow the belt boxes to easily fit over the bumps on the ab.... kinda stuck and my only idea is to mount them permanently and bondo the terrible gap
  21. I got a price... pre order is $699 plus shipping otherwise its slate to be $780 plus shipping. pretty sure thats without a bucket... I want to see more of the BSP stuff but it looks great so far back to KB's stuff!!
  22. I have printed 3 of the F11D blasters so far on my printer. 1 for me and 2 as gifts. I primarily print in ABS, dont even bother with PLA, you will hate sanding it and its not stable in warmer temps.
  23. I have KB's FOTK in ABS and I really wish I had the PETG option like you do. I would like the details to be a little bit more crisp... oh well. It's still going to look awesome
  24. or when they push back the dates... again which they will probably do....
  25. Wish I could have gotten the PETG stuff. The pulls should be a bit crisper with the thinner plastic
