  1. Really to notch. The accuracy of these and the RS helmets is nuts looking at back at what we had ten years ago. Never would have thought all the styles would be nailed!
  2. Awesome mate, now rust those screws out, paint it and get it chipped and dirty! That faceplate is immense in very way!!!!
  3. Really superb work, it's taken years to get there, but the community now has the ultimate replica. That table is porn for plastic nerds!
  4. Awesome pictures Verne. Have you got any reference shots of the Mark II ESB ears? There seem to be very few of them about. Joe
  5. Awesome work mate.
  6. Any more pictures of the ESB MK II would be appreciated, interesting that is has flat lenses.
  7. There is a picture in Rich's excellent build thread here... http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=16442&st=120 Joe
  8. I'll find the pictures and post them up. They do get trimmed down to a few mm in places. There is a lot of reference on star wars helmets. You trim them the same was as regular ANH/ESB helmet though, constantly putting them up to the helmet and marking the areas to reduce etc. Joe
  9. Looks amazing. Well done on dispelling another trooper myth. Great the community has a perfect replica now. JoeR
  10. Looking great Mark. Can you do an idiots assembly guide? I need one for when I get one of these beauties on order! :-) Joe
  11. Helmet is looking awesome, fantastic job on the ears, they fit perfectly. Keep up the good work. JoeR
  12. It seems to be so common place now :-(
  13. Brilliant, we are wankers because we stop people buying ripped off, recast over priced crappy armour!
  14. Keith has a tutorial somewhere, I will find it and email it to you. He got a painted helmet to look and feel exactly like ABS plastic, it was the best paint job I have ever seen. I'll dig up the instructions.
  15. Funny that GINO's been recast as well, karma I'd say! Obviously no-one likes ROTJ enough to recast me! :-)
  16. These are actually quite nice, but they are recast. I don't understand why everyone is ripping into these, there are suppliers on this forum selling recast trooper helmets and armour, that are a lot softer than these....
  17. Thanks Juan I have no idea on colour, someone like Mark SSkunky or TM would know. Just my opinions as well. There are others on here who know a lot more about troopers than I do. Cheers Joe
  18. Looks awesome Juan. Great build up. Just a couple of minor points. I would trim out the eyes a little more. The eye sockets on the JoeR moulds are a little bit small IMHO anyway, so I think you need to remove any excess and get them as big as possible. If you look at the original helmets they have huge eye sockets, same goes on ANH & ESB, a lot of the replica versions eyes are much too small. Also there are lots of different sizes of frowns on original helmets, but I would go up a mm or two on the top edge of the frown. The far right end of the right had edge looks a little square. I think Caleb absolutely nailed the frown on his build up, as far the generic ROTJ frown looks. I am no expert at all but these two things will make it look closer to an original in my opinion. I love the glue residue on the inside, great touch! :-) JoeR
  19. The eyes need a bit more trimming to, this will also help. Particularly the left one as you look at the helmet. Have a look at some original helmets, they have much larger eye sockets. This will also give you better visibility!
  20. A good piece of advice is to buy the most accurate kit you can, because the more you research and study armour the more you will want a better and more accurate kit. So save yourself some time and go straight to a decent kit.
  21. Congratulations Mason!
  22. Thanks buddy, I am cool with that, what I meant was advice on the style of domain name, using hyphens etc, the actual structure of the domain name. Ie Joe-R as opposed to joer etc etc...
  23. Does anyone have experience of domain names? I wanted a bit of advice for my new business. Would like to correspond via pm if possible. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, I was made redundant on Friday so am having to look at self employment again. Thanks Joe
  24. One minor point is too make sure the Humbrol is well mixed, I have had bubbling issues when I forgot to stir it up. It can be a bit watery if not stirred properly.
