  1. I think this depends on what blaster do you want to make, look at Andy's versions and simply choose. BTW I would advise to try getting a M38/M40 scope, not M38A2.
  2. The problem I see is because eFX took over MR and they are making these helmets again. So in fact that seller is infringing eFX copyright. I think not many mind if someone would recast an Icons saber for example, since Icons is long gone, but this is not the case. People like these give bad name to good prop makers, and this is how companies like Lucasfilm, Disney etc. might arrive to see the honest armor makers too, and one day decide to take measures against everyone, guilty or not. Edit: spelling
  3. I don't think I want to know you, nor I implied I would like to Ciao
  4. It is not about you, that is why I didn't quote your post above. But if you brought it up, you also said "if you don't like it don't buy it", I guess this shows how you are totally against recasting it, doens't it? So a "well respected member in the prop world" who casts a helmet from an existing company should remain a respected member? And you also said "company's that are long gone out of business are considered by some in the prop community to be fair game " - eFX is not out of business and they own the rights for the MR CE Stormtrooper helmet, which now they sell as eFX PCR. In the end I think that people should not be encouraged in ANY way to recast, especially if talking about licensed companies who are still alive.
  5. Not sure if you guys understand that the license for MR CE/eFX PCR is now in eFX Collectibles hands. So it is not like no one has it, like Icons for example. You are agreeing to recast product from an existing company, which besides the fact that is illegal, it is also immoral. http://www.efxcollectibles.com/c-11-istar-warsi.aspx They are still for sale from eFX etailers: http://www.amazon.com/EFX-Star-Stormtrooper-Helmet-Replica/dp/B005J35PG2 http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=EFX10021&mode=retail http://www.plasmainfusion.com/efx_anh_stormtrooper_helmet.htm http://www.space-figuren.de/All-Manufacturers/eFX-Collectibles/Star-Wars/1-1-Stormtrooper-Helmet-Life-Size-Replica-Star-Wars-ANH::6590.html http://www.toy-palace.com/product_info.php?info=p7660_SW-A-New-Hope-Stormtrooper-Helmet-1-1-Replica.html
  6. eFX is using the MR CE molds, in their Precision Cast Replica (PCR) helmets which this way are 99% identical with MR CE, so I don't think is fair game to recast it.
  7. I think this should be reported and also to let eFX know about it.
  8. I always like learning new things about the stuff I enjoy. Exchanging information is one of the important reasons for the existence of any forum.
  9. I know about general differences between Wise Lite (Sporting) Sterling and regular Sterling. My question in post #48 was only about the barrel holes, which I'm curious to know if they are identical on these 2 models or not. My own Sterling having installed Gino t-tracks from the beginning by its previous owner, I cannot compare to the Sterlings that have Marv/Sskunky t-tracks. I have heard on some Sterlings fited with Marv t-tracks you can see a bit of the barrel holes, but on others you cannot. I do have a set of unattached Marv t-tracks and they are great (especially dince they are found material from the same coutry too), but still I'm curious if seeing the barrel holes when Marv t-tracks are fitted is happening on all Sterlings or only on some (and which ones).
  10. You didn't answer my question above though Are there differences between regular Sterlings and Wise Lite ones?
  11. So there is a difference between the regular Sterling SMG and the Wise Lite Sterling regarding the barrel holes? I'm not at home to measure my own Sterling...
  12. That is a good idea. Maybe "E-11 Blaster Power Cyilinders Research Thread"?
  13. I don't think the PCR or CE helmets (unmodified) are approved. The pic showing in that link is not of the actual helmet, which is symmnetrical and idealized.
  14. I don't think Gino worked for Master Replicas.
  15. Very cool blaster there Felix! Nothing better than a real demilled Sterling conversion
  16. The price is hilarious. Not to mention ludicrous.
