  1. Incredible work on the helmet! I never really cared for the Hero helmet until I saw your reworking of the NE face. (I have an NE too, maybe that's why. Lol!)
  2. Love how you did this!
  3. If you've built your blaster in the Sandtrooper "Bapty" style you don't include the trigger. Those props had a custom cast handle and metal trigger guard.
  4. You definitely want to cut off the excess and round off the area. If you leave on too much it will scrape between your thighs... Ouch!
  5. Congratulations you stud, you!
  6. One might be able to scratchbuild one out of a shower curtain rod bracket!
  7. Use CA glue when mounting next time. Its almost instantaneous and very strong.
  8. Just used scrap ABS that came with my armor. You can also order some on amazon.
  9. My gear is set up for a TD so once I have my backpack/pauldron in place the bells get pushed down a little. I can bend my elbows without any major armor bites.
  10. The elastic goes behind my neck. The shoulders pretty much stay right in place for me. The bicep/ hook setup keeps it in place.
  11. Yes. There is a tutorial right on this site that explains how to do it. I made these a bit differently by heat bending them but the basic idea was the same
  12. I have my shoulders connected by one long strip of elastic. I also use bicep hooks to hold them in place.
  13. I've spread on some E6000 on rivet backs. Once it cures and becomes rubbery it won't bother you
  14. Local garrisons are there to help future members. Maybe send an email to an administrator for help. My garrison welcomes future members and encourages them to share their builds for feedback. We also encourage them to come out for troops to see what we do and maybe help out. Our forums have open areas for future members as well as closed areas for legion/ garrison members. Good luck!
  15. I made a frame for the ring of a hard hat. I bolted it to the earcap screws. Its all painted black now. I like that I have some air circulation around my head.
  16. Good luck with the build! You can extend the dimensions of Kev's kits with some creative use of ABS shims and paste. I did it with an animated kit.
  17. Darth Voorhees posted a thread that went step by step.
  18. Correct. It should have only 3 buttons.
  19. They are made to look hand painted. My NE helmet came with two types of tubestripes: hero and stunt. Neither look hand painted though. They look too perfect and symmetrical.
  20. My NE helmet came with decals. Yours doesn't?
  21. Check out my thread: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/26137-wip-ne-helmet-build/?fromsearch=1 I used ABS paste to fill in the seam. It came out nicely I think. But I'm not sure it would qualify for higher standards since it didn't begin as 2 PC helmet. Lol! I'm making a Sandtrooper out of it now. Here's where it stands... I still need to paint on the rank bars for the ears. I'll do that later tonight.
  22. The sole appears more rounded and thicker in the first pic.
