  1. Kids getting bullied for liking Star Wars just baffles me. Especially in these times where Comic and sci-fi conventions are growing by leaps and bounds. Cosplaying is booming like crazy and this stuff still happens. I was picked on as a kid for liking Star Wars, although, if you were to see me now, you would never guess it. Haha! I'm glad we have the program that passes the TK suit around to kids who are getting picked on, so they can become stormtroopers and get the bullying turned around to cheers and admiration for what they are doing and overcoming! Thanks all!!
  2. Congratulations....looking forward to sending you guys several requests from our Squad here soon.
  3. Looking good! Keep up the steady progress! Do not hesitate to hit me or Zuko up if you hit a speed bump. Looking really good so far. See you at Zappcon!
  4. Requesting TK status and access to "Detachment Only" section, just finally finished up and got my ANH Stunt completed and approved! Thanks! http://www.501st.com/members/displaymember.php?userID=17171&costumeID=71
  5. I need 2 pairs gloves please. 1 Large, 1 Extra Large.
  6. I am interested too, when you get them dialed in.
  7. I am totally impressed! That looks great!
  8. Nice call on the post Daniel. I just stumbled across this and commented. The last time I was at Disneyland, I checked their Troopers out up close and wasn't impressed. From a distance, not to bad. To the uninitiated, they look great. But it was still fun to watch all the kids faces when the Disney troopers were on stage....with the music. -Fun My kids couldn't care to watch it. -teenagers, what do they know. (Except everything!)
  9. Wouldn't Disney, now owner of The SW franchise, have their employees don more authentic costumes for the daily events? -just saying. (I guess it would have to be a comfort issue as well) If that job didn't pay peanuts compared to my "day job"' I'd totally take that gig. "So what do you do for a living?" .......Well, I'm a Stormtrooper, for the Empire. (Disney) "No, really?" ......Really!
  10. Haaaa! You never know, something tells me the Ewoks brew some great Ale! (Or maybe they have 2 livers and can out-drink humans, every time.) The title does elude to a whole new level of force powers and abilities that haven't been seen in a Star Wars film yet. -It's going to be a long 13 months!
  11. I can't wait to see some progress pictures Rod, congrats!
  12. Yeah Dday, that's kind of the conclusion I came to. Comparing it to my other buckets and Garrison mates' buckets, it just looked terrible. But assembled and polished up might not be so bad. Thanks for the reply!
  13. Personal preference is definitely the key in this topic, without a doubt. I have so many Star Wars project builds going right now, I almost can't keep them straight, but one of my recent projects needed a new bucket, so I sprung for one, and was a little disappointed when the box arrived. Now, I am one of the "Off the screen" folks, with that being said, when inspecting the recently received contents and parts, I was disappointed when I discovered the lumpy bucket part. I thought I got a bad batch or flawed product, upon emailing the manufacturer, I was notified that it was a newer..screen-accurate mold that was now being used and recently put into production and that's how it is. No offer to refund, just a "if you want smooth, go with somebody else." So I guess this one project will have shiny, polished armor, with a lumpy bucket. My preference is "Off the screen" but I am now having to learn to try to see the "Off the set" look. -Or a combo of both together. I totally understand how some want "exactly screen accurate replication", I really do. I am that way with some things in this hobby, and most things with everything else, but this subject just boils down to personal preference / no wrong answer. (The first time a child says; "Why is that helmet so bumpy", it's going on the shelf or up for sale! Lol

  17. You weren't kidding brother. That was a long one, -creative too. I was thinking (for myself), more along the lines of; "I was T.A.D. when the 2nd Death Star blew, soooo, ...I got lucky there!" The End. Ha.
  18. Nice Ted!! Open it up....let's see some pictures! Congrats.
  19. Point taken, but it would be sweet to point at the screen and say.."That's me...right there!" In a Star Wars film! -(Maybe that's just the kid in me talking.)
