  1. I have joined their sight. My issue with their site is that they are nothing like FISD, they're not very froth coming with info.I didn't know it wasn't 501st approved though. When you go to the site under the costume gallery you see plenty of them?
  2. I just finished my TK build and am now looking to my next build. I am thinking of doing a ROTS Clone Trooper, Commander Appo. Does anyone know of a good contact person for the helmet & armor?
  3. I have moved the belt up and moved the shoulder bells in. Anything else which would keep me from EIB? The green lense is on its way.
  4. The plastic belt is the same width as the canvas belt I rec'd from TKittel. As for the shims, they were pretty hard to find but I will contact RT. Do you think I could move the bells up to close the gap?
  5. Are you referring to the free floating straps on the top?
  6. My build thread hasn't gotten any love lately, so I thought I should start a new topic. I'm done!! Please let me know if there is anything I need to address. As of now I am planning on shaving down a little on the back of the knee. The butt plate is cut, I will have new pics for EIB, just waiting on the lenses

  8. I'm getting close to the finish line. Here are some pics of the completed belt & chest/arm t-shirt:
  9. Here a couple of pics of my progression. I've used a combination of Soldermaster's and TK-300's builds. Thank you very much to both of you. I would appreciate any feedback.
  10. Quick update. I've been knee deep in building snap plates. Here are some pics of the progress, plus my first test fitting. Let me know what you think.
  11. A quick update, I have finished the Biceps, Forearms, & Helmet. I had to use velcro for the forearms so my hand could fit. <_< I coated the inside of the helmet & installed TK-4261's fan, which is awesome by the way! I'm ordering another one. I will post more pics soon.
  12. Looks great! Let me know if you make another.
  13. I recommend RT-Mod.I just got it two days ago. I'm still in awe! Rob will take your measuremnts and try to make the armor fit you! I am not your run of the mill trooper size, and so far everything fits, 6'00' 250 lbs. The helmet can come assembled, your choice. The plastic is trimmed, all I've had to do is very little extra trimming and just sanding the edges. I hav estrated a build thread if you want to see how it is coming. The best part of this kit is the person who makes it, Rob. He is great at communicating and willing to work with you. I couldn't be happier with this purchase.
  14. My big brown box of happy is here! If anyone has thought of the RT-Mod kit, I highly recommend it!!!! The trimming is way more than I expected and the helmet is perfect!I feel kind of bad taking it apart so I can paint the interior. I am overwhelmed! :D Here are some pics, more to follow! The cat's a little weird!
  15. I finally adde dthe D-Ring two days ago. Can anyone tell me, by looking at the above pics, is my blaster ok for EIB status? Thank you for the input!
  16. Great choice. I think you will pull it off perfectly!
  17. Could you post some pics of your helmet?
  18. Thank you for the sign idea. I just found out my armor is on it's way!!!! Only a matter of days until I see that big brown box of happy!!!!!!!
  19. What is a return edge? I have ordered a RT-Mod kit, does anyone know if that already has them?
  20. Disregard last message, I hadn't seen these yet. The pics are perfect, thank you!
  21. I ordered mine from Joann's online. It's about $33.00. It's metal and feels pretty sturdy. Here's the info: #2614683 Dritz® Mighty Snap-A-Plier For Heavy Duty Snaps 1 $22.99
  22. I have a few motorcycle helmets I will scavenge parts from. Nothing like taking apart a $700 Arai helmet!! Well I do want to be comfortable...
  23. Like a few people on this thread, my armor should be here next week. I followed another person's thread who built an RT kit in about a month, and that's what I'm shooting for. What I have done is, I have asked everyone for advice on what tools & supplies are needed. This may be over kill but I'm hoping it will save me from having to stop & go to the store. Plus the Rt kit's bucket comes assembled. All I'm going to due is coat the inside & install some squirrel fans. You may want to ask youor local Garrison about putting together an armor party. My garrison is doing on ethis weekend. If I have my armor by then great, if not it will at least be a learning experience.Good luck on your build!
  24. My Rt armor will be here soon! I have every intention of building per EIB specs. Does RT have the seperate butt plate?
