  1. This was the tthread I had mentioned to you on Facecbook, I gues you already knew about it,
  2. Try Novus to remove the scratches. Its a three step process.
  3. I forgot to add I'm 6'00" 240, so I'm a bit too big to be a stormtrooper!
  4. You may want to consider RT-Mod parts. My thighs are not proportioned to the rest of me and are a bit big. Any way, RT took my measurememnts and can "manipulate" his molds. I should have the armor next week, then I could tell you how they fit.
  5. So my armor should be here soon. Thanx for all the info! I did buy the pliers from Joann's & the snaps from Tandy. does anyone know where I can buy sheets of abs to make shims and snap plates? or what I may have around the house which can be used? Thanx for the help everyone!

I heard a rumor that in order to have C5 at Disney, Uncle George has to sign for C6 as well. Don't know how true that is.
  8. That is a great site! Full of all types of info. You guys share so much info I'm starting to think this build is goingto be EASY........ not really!, Still nervous!
  9. I took the Doopy muzzle tip w/ me to Home depot to make sure the bolt fit perfectly, I cut the head of it off w/ a Dremel and used E6000 to glue them on. I t worked perfectly!!! Hope my two cents helps!
  10. Try using a "pick" or a "punch" of the same diameter. I think the pick would work better.
  11. I've been reading everyone's thoughts on snaps. I have been to the Tandy site, but I can't figure out what snaps to get or what tools i need to install them. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
  12. Any idea on shipping info? My blaster's done, just waiting on the ring. Please let me know.
  13. So not fair! I just rec'd mine about two weeks ago and made my T tracks from scratch!
  14. Ok, its done!!!! Well, except for the D-ring, it's own it's way. So what does everyone think? EIB worthy? Please let me know, I really appreciate the feedback!
  15. That pic says it all! Thanx guys, and thankfully I have not bought one! More threads & pics to come once my build starts. The wait is killing me!
  16. Armor should be here within days!!! I have a question for the Vets; is a Pauldron acceptable for EIB status? If so what color? Thanx for the help!
  17. Thanx everyone! I put the last coat on and will wait overnight to see how it looks. I will post pics When I can get my hands on a camera.
  18. I used Krylon, I might have forgotten to mention that! Good luck! Check out my latest post, hope it helps. From one newbie to another!!
  19. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!! Anyway, this is how I have done my build to date. First removed the muzzle & scope end caps. Disassembled the the body & removed the electrix. Since I am going for EIB I ground off the left lower T track & drilled new holes in it's place. I added two T tracks using the "fingers" from a plastic rake. I got that for 50% off at home depot because it was already broken!! When sanding a used a very coarse grain if I needed to remove a lot and finished with a 320 grit. Use a Dremel, trust me!!! I started with a coat of primer, followed by a coat of silver metallic, and then a few coats of gloss black. I filled the screw hole w/ an epoxy and let it sit for a few hours, then ground off the excess. Next, I attached the Doopy Do's kit, and that's where I am now. I plan on painting it flat black to finish. Sorry about the pic quality, but my camera crapped out and all of my funds are going to my TK build!! Enjoy the picks! I will post the finished pic when I can. I appreciate any feedback!!!
  20. My RT-Mod kit should be here within the week, I will let you know. I am 6'00' 250, so if it fits me you should be in good shape!
  21. Thanx everyone! This is my first step in building my TK. I appreciate the help. Any preference on glue?
  22. I received the Doopy Do's kit today, the blaster should be here any day. I noticed there aren't any instructions? Anyone have any good ideas on how to proceed? PandaTrooper's thread was very helpful, I just don't want to miss anything. Thanx for your help.
  23. I am just as new and nervous about this as you are! Stormtroopercostume.com is the first place I looked. After a lot of discussions with members of this site, they said that site was bad news and not 501st compliant. I am currently waiting on my order to ship from RT-Mod.com. You want to look into that kit. I know it comes with instructions and the bucket is fully assembled! Well I hope this may help. Good Luck!
