  1. I've been actually experimenting a bit with a two fan system with both AA and 9v. I usually have the AA running when I begin. The fan isn't as strong but it will last longer, but once it either begins to slow down or say the heat becomes a bit too much (or I'm in a situation where there is little to no AC), then I turn on the other fan with the 9v for a quick blast of air. Then if the situation improves I can turn off the 9v fan and keep the other one going.
  2. I use the screen material used on windows. A quick trip to home depot or a hardware store should suffice. Although only drawback is you might quite a few leftover O_o EDIT: PS. also they do offer the screen in both gray and black. I chose black since I have an ESB TK and it blends better. So if you're doing ANH then the choice would be obvious.
  3. Great job! Only thing I noticed is your thighs seem a little roomy. I once had me pretty loose and after a while I got tired of that feeling of my thighs swinging around. Once I tighten them I feel much better and I don't clank as much when I walk. You look great but I'm speaking from more of a comfort standpoint.
  4. You're on the right track. My only suggestion is that when you begin to add strapping from the butt plate to the kidney, wear your underarmor pants to get a better feel for how close and tight you want it to be while keeping in mind that you might have to make them a bit tighter on the edges so that the butt doesn't flare out at the sides. Some don't mind but I personally can't stand it when my butt plate begins to flare out at the sides. Can't wait to see more progress on your build and I'm glad we'll be having another ESB TK.
  5. As wierd as it was having the PTT originally, I can't imagine not using it. It's very convenient when you want to talk behind the scenes kind of talk with other troopers or wranglers. That and I have taught myself to use it in the index finger so when I'm holding the blaster I can just apply pressure to the blaster and activate it.
  6. Got my kit on Feb. Finished in July. And even then when you think you've "finished", you never truly are. You need to do tweaks and repairs that you can only find out about once you start trooping up and down and those little pinches and pokes are going to force you to break out the toolbox again.
  7. Generally when cutting to fit your body in the thighs and shins I just use a pencil and try my best to follow the same contour and shapes that the top uses. Use your best judgement and always measure more than three times. And use the mirror alot. If you have a nagging feeling it doesn tlook right then go back and try again. Also it does help having a second opinion and Ingrid's is the best around. as for the biceps, yes they will not match up on one side only, but that's ok. The cover strip will hide that. Below you can see on my left bicep how the cover strip is the length of the bigger side. -------------
  8. Lemme pack my bag and armor then!
  9. I once saw a post about using the screws inside your helmet from the ears to hold them in place. Essentially I carefully made a mark where the screws from the ears stick out unto the strip, drill the holes to be very snug, placed it and then mark the holes for the other side, and drill those. The tension is enough to hold it in place. EDIT: Found it! I actually ordered my lense from him and it does a great job of keeping your eyes from showing. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=14974
  10. I think the big ones are for the belt.
  11. Check out this thread. I'm thinking about doing something similar with my next E-11 build: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=8931&st=0&p=113524&hl=hasbro%20esb&fromsearch=1entry113524
  12. Everyone is looking good!
  13. It's up to you really. Technically yes the FX kit meets the most minimum of standards for legion approval, however you would be selling yourself short. And keep in mind many people are moving away from the FX kit so as you troop side by side with others it's kind of hard not to notice. But then again if you want something for the once in a while troop, or you're comfortable with making the necessary modifications then that's cool too.
  14. Nice! Looking forward to seeing your progress.
  15. That...is...AWESOME! Luckiest boy in the galaxy.

Well also the thing is once someone goes, they want to come back year after year. Similar to Coachella which I decided to skip in favor of Comic con. I'll be there Thurs-Sun but only at the convention itself friday and saturday only.
