  1. well for the inner strips i just cut from the sloppy ends and enough length for added strength. But for the outer ones, measure, measure, measure, (I actually made 3 mark and with a ruler lined them up to make sure the lines came out straight), and then as mentioned above, score with an xacto knife. I usually do one light pass and then add more pressure, and then eventually you will be able to snap them easily. Once you get the hang of it it will seem more redundant than overwhelming. But in the end you'll appreciate how good it will look. PS. Check out the tutorial page for info on the specific sizes of the strips. The thigh and shin strips are different than the forearms and biceps.
  2. Honestly, in this hobby it's not uncommon for these things to take months. I ordered my kit in November and received it until late February. He's usually pretty good about responding back though.
  3. You should head over to http://www.southerncaliforniagarrison.com/forums/ and sign up. LadyInWhite is hosting an armor party on June 3 if you want to stop by and get some help with your armor.
  4. Or maybe some sort of tubing delivery system. XD
  5. Before every troop I just make sure to get it out of the way. Also I don't eat before, not too much during, and only drink what I feel is necessary.
  6. We're still working out the details but two of our member are actually running in it. Hopefully we'll see you there!
  7. What I did when building that was i glued the white elastic to the chest first, and then on the back plate glue the snaps on plates. Afterwards i taped both back and chest using blue masking tape, then placed the elastic and marked where the snap in the elastic would match with the back plate snap and voila.
  8. I'm 5' 10" 160 lbs. myself and even then my AP armor is a tight fit. But you will look good though.
  9. here's how I did the notch on mine:
  10. Awesome another ESB trooper in SoCal! Looking forward to your next update.
  11. I ordered in November and got it around February. In this lifestyle that's actually not that bad. I'm trying to get a snowtrooper and I'm hearing of waiting times of up to a year.
  12. Thank you very much. I am glad to be amongst the best. Now only 83 more to 300!
  13. Wow O_O. I don't know how I could keep my paws off.
  14. Hahahaha oops. Sorry about that.
  15. Armor= AP Helmet= AP Blaster= TKBondsrvnt (Thanks Vern!) Height = 5' 10" Weight = 157 lbs Boots = TKBoots Canvas belt = TKittell Electronics= 1 squirrel fan Neck Seal = TrooperBay Thermal Clips = TK-4702 I humbly submit my request for EIB. I've been kind of lagging it but finally got around to taking pictures. I hope I have met the standards and look forward to make any necessary adjustments. I also took a pic of both the left and right side gaps since to prove they're under 0.5". Although for my left side no matter how tight I make the straps I just can't get it to close completely. any suggestions? Close ups: Right Side button: Right side gap: Left side gap: Blaster: Helmet:
  16. Don't forget to order rare earth magnets for those places where the clamps can't reach, (ex. thighs) 2 tubes of E6000, sand paper, 1" nylon webbing since elastic can stretch too much IMO. Paint for the ab buttons and the details on the helmet, a neck seal. I'm sure I've missed something...sigh.
  17. Awesomeness! Congrats Ingrid! She most certainly is a trooper's trooper.
  18. call me old fashioned but: -----------

  22. Thanks for the feedback. I just got an email from the garrison approving my TK! Now I just want to make sure I get it right enough to hopefully get EIB?. Yea the biceps were the first pieces I worked on when I got my kit. But maybe it's something I can fill in with some work but if it's a big issue I guess I'll have to resize. Ugh that'll be a PITA.
