  1. nice work man love the mg-15.. what materials did you use for the ammo drum? it looks awsome
  2. i was thinking of using a toy microphone that broadcast to any FM radio.. like this lol ----------- then put a small radio in my armor to play the sound, its cheesy but cheap and easy
  3. after fist coat of paint. added real ar15 tactical scope mount and an airsoft scope
  4. thanks man.. i just need to attach the drop boxes and thermal detonator
  5. with a little script hacking i managed to extract some good data from the ultimate sith edition.. it gives a good clear detail of the weathering and paint schemes. i am currently trying to locate the flamethrower weapon files but there are literally thousands of images to sift through could take a bit but i would like to make a 3d model eventually
  6. got the last of the major parts painted and started on the snaps and velcro .. i recycled all the velcro from old blood pressure testers i got when i worked at a hospital ( i had a deal with the janitor ) it is super high quality stuff. i am hopefully going to finish masking and painting the red detail bits today
  7. thats odd.. i used a combo of goop and super glue on my build and i cant smell the glue at all. but i did use spray on auto wax to weather seal the glued parts. i can still smell the epoxy paint a bit but other then that the parts have no smell at all... possibly the wax? i also mixed loctite super glue with goop for a super fast drying flexible bond i also put white duct tape over the snaps. you could also put some potpourri in your tote also i have kept my armor outside in my garage for the entire build so it has had plenty of time to air out
  8. i found a load of this material, it is rubberized canvas.. would this be acceptable for a rotj belt? it looks really good with the white trim ---------
  9. i am finally at the final stage of my build i just need to finish some painting and make a strapping system... i didnt know if anyone has tried this way of closing the shin backs but i gave it a try and it works great, i trooped a birthday party the other day and they held strong (though i almost passed out from heat exhaustion) i just used 2 finishing strips and they pop fit together. i was just going to put some white tape on the inside for added strength but it holds fine without it once i get a neckseal and finish my flamethrower ill be good to submit for the 501st and the hopefully eib
  10. dish soap works well for that type of effect and its easy to clean up after
  11. do you by chance remember what level they are in? i can take screen caps from my ps3, but i cant remember seeing them in the levels if you point me in the right direction i would be glad to take some caps for you is it the ultimate sith edition? or normal version i have the ps3 and wii normal versions
  12. yes the entire suit is wonky by design, check this thread out ----------- it will help identify the left and right parts of the arms
  13. i have the same issue.. i am planning to put some Velcro backed foam pads from a bike helmet in the back to even it up some
  14. if you can find this it is about the same, just dries a lot faster it also is "amazing", it says so on the tube i also have a unopened tube of e6000 that i dont need if you want it i can mail it over -----------

  18. i am using plumbers goop , 2 part epoxy (for ridged parts) and hot glue for reinforcing the other 2 glues and tacking oh and also super glue
  19. thanks man! the drummers i usually play with dont care for star wars music ive been looking for more imperial beats to jam along with on my axe. great stuff!
  20. since the topic is weathering.. what about the ICN? there is definite visible weathering on the armor in several areas.. namely the ab and belt, back plate details and the helmet.. around the ears and brow... but the CRL states : "Armor and paint should be lightly scuffed, but not weathered" IMO it should be : Armor and paint should be lightly scuffed, and lightly weathered the armor on the screen caps looks like it has been blackwashed, i mean it has been through many fires
  21. thanks guys! this helps a lot
