  1. no, its custom diy electronics that i put together, its similar to blaster core but not as fancy or expensive but it has up to 10 hard coded sounds and pulsating lights
  2. im starting an sr props E-11 today, the kit seems pretty nice. its going to take a fair amount of sanding and filing to get the parts to fit nicely, but the high impact plastic seems pretty tough, now... where to fit all the electronic goodies?
  3. i put together some star wars mp3 sound effects (175 of them) its a lot of various effects like blasters, lightsabers ect... they are taken from the movies and some from video games... you can download them all in ZIP format here
  4. nice! now for a blaster build/mod section lol,....
  5. i have been working on this concept for a while now, it involves a soft-modded psp with custom applications to use as a sound effect playback device and voice amp this is a proof of concept video i made i also plan on several hardware modifications to make it practical, like built in 2" speaker, mincropone input, AMPLIFICATION, and static burst effect. also remote sound selector switches any interst in this kind of unit? i can make a tutorial on how to do this ,its not too hard if you own a psp:D
  6. look here to start http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=11538
  7. i am also getting an error when trying to vote on polls (i tried a few just to be sure) ERROR: Sorry, an error occurred. If you are unsure on how to use a feature, or don't know why you got this error message, try looking through the help files for more information. [#103148] You do not have permission to vote in this poll. also there is something funny with the members link http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?app=members&section=view&module=list there seems to be a ton of nameless member profiles don't know if its anything, but id thought ide let you all know
  8. got this as well forum.whitearmor.net Driver Error There appears to be an error with the database. If you are seeing this page, it means there was a problem communicating with our database. Sometimes this error is temporary and will go away when you refresh the page. Sometimes the error will need to be fixed by an administrator before the site will become accessible again.
  9. i got this message quite a few times today Fatal error: Call to undefined method IPSLib::loadLibrary() in /home/fisd/public_html/forum/admin/applications/forums/app_class_forums.php on line 83 just thought i should report it
  10. you are right lol, the vid is mislabeled, but it was the best vid of an real E-11 i had bookmarked
  11. i would cut it to extend out about 2" - 3". here is a video of an original ESB blaster http://www.metacafe.com/watch/3487999/prop_store_of_london_empire_strikes_back_e_11_blaster/ but like you stated there was several different lengths of magazines (some just had a wooden block shoved into the receiver), so i dont believe there is any one "correct" length, i would just study the screencaps and make a judgment call personally i like them a bit on the longer side.
  12. i posted this a while back http://forum.whitear...showtopic=10842 perhaps setting up an separate off site chat website would be a good solution something like "www.trooperchat.com" im sure it would be a little work but it would be great asset, oh and i own that domain lol
  13. looking through his post http://whitear...=1entry153495 he is supposedly a new user, but has the ability to quickly identify armor types... it took me months of research to get to that level and i am still a bit green myself im just curious, but is there any limitations on selling on the boards? for instance if i remember right, ebay requires a feedback of 10 before you can even sell anything. can any new member sell here without making any posts? with the economy in its current state and unemployment on the rise, i can foresee the internet scamming profession becoming more and more common just a thought....
  14. fantastic job i like how you got rid of the yellowing from the CFL lamps i use in my house
  15. nice pics! looks like it was a blast! gotta love the TK sandwich action i just singed up to the Canadian garrison forums. where i live right on the border i hope to do some international trooping someday
  16. agreed, as funny looking as it is, it looks like a fair amount of effort went into making it. i like the calfs/shin details and the chest plate looks neat as well
  17. it has 2 bids.... it must be those sexy shoes
  18. no fumes from the paint after it fully cured, but the plumbers goop i used to hold in the foam padding smelled fumy for a few weeks i like the look of the plasti dip as well
  19. if i remember correctly i used several coats ( i put it on heavy around the mic tip area), and i also coated the insides of my ears
  20. i used rustolium truck bed liner in my bucket, it worked quite nicely and added some strength to the thinner areas but any flat black paint will work, i wouldn't recommend using any glossy paint, also dont get ANY of this on the outside of the bucket, it is permanent
  21. i just noticed this thought it was kind of interesting. at least its not a recast lol http://cgi.ebay.com/Star-Wars-STORMTROOPER-ARMOUR-Lifesize-full-COSTUME-/250695194320?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3a5e9916d0
