  1. And here we are, after about 5 hours of cutting I think I'm halfway through the trimming process
  2. Build pictures will be coming as soon as I've trimmed all peices But since I'm quite happy for this, I'm working on the helmet at the moment. Some pics of that will come up tonight.
  3. And so it's my turn to turn over to the dark side! I picked up by brown box of happiness containing a wonderful AP kit! I have waited over 4½ months for it and finally. I'm the proud owner of a AP armor! I just can't describe the feeling i got now, and i bet all of you have felt it. It's just surreal. This will be an interesting build and I've already begun with the handplates! I'm going to try to go centurion but since it's 1½ more years until i turn 18, i got some time to make it perfect! I'm aiming at a ANH stunt armor! I am done with the handplates and I'm thinking of doing the shoulder bells now. What other parts are quite simple to begin with?
  4. That is really outstanding!! Sad though that it's harder than any kits... Awesome idea though!
  5. So would it be accepted to have either return edge or not have an return edge?
  6. Do you know if Keith's mics are still available? I think I'll save me the trouble and get one of his...
  7. Yes i believe they are complete with paint and mesh, but i already have a pair of unpainted mic tips. Though without the mesh Ideally it would be good if i could find some mesh.
  8. Once again I'm seeking wisdom from the greatest community on earth. Since my AP armor is FINALLY on it's way, i need to get my hovi mic tips ready. And i can't seem to find any good mic tip mesh... I've been searching around local hardware stores for different kind of nets and reinforcement nets, but no luck in finding anything that is good looking, either it is too big or it's looking weird. Could you guys give me some help on where to find some? Preferably someone who knows where to find it in Sweden, because if I'm just going to buy mesh from outside sweden it would probably be some higher shipping, and then it would just be worth getting a pair of Keiths hovis. Thanks!
  9. Does the Lexan Scissors work good for cutting the plastic? Great work so far!
  10. The only problem i will have is age I'm just 16 so can't join quite yet, though i'm aiming for Centurion with my armour so i get that as soon as i join in two years
  11. So that black number 21 works good for the Hovis?
  12. Where can i get one of those lexan scissors?
  13. How's the quality of it? Is it sturdy and does it hold up good for trooping? Awesome build!
  14. I sure will take my time on this. Since it's my first kit of armor i got basically no skill in this so when i get my box, i will study every single piece until there is no more to be studied
  15. Slow but steady i gather up stuff for my armor, glue, paint and a belt from Tk-4510!
  16. If im gonna have silk gloves under the rubber gloves, should i order the rubber gloves one size bigger? And is it ok if you have a pair of rubber gloves on for the application then on troop you go by some simple black gloves?
  17. Congratulations Paul! Have a great day!
  18. Ok, thanks for letting me know that.
  19. I've been testing my dremel this weekend, it works great, but i got one question. What dremel attatchment should i use for cutting?
  20. Looks nice, what did you use to cover the front and back of the helmet? Also how glossy/mat will the interior be after drying?
  21. Got the stuff today, Thank you Lou!
  22. Does that happen even with underarmor? I'd suggest sandpaper on the edge so its not as sharp.
  23. The paint will hold longer than the decal, right? I believe the paint also will give the armor more of a authentic look than the decal would
  24. It's from TK4510 I'm ordering the glue and paint from, will probably order belt too And since I'm ordering paint for the helmet can't i use it for the buttons too?
  25. Thanks man! Really appreciate it!
