  1. Looks great! Did you gave to trim any of the neck line or did it just require some arranging with the ears?
  2. Could i have this thread moved to ANH builds?
  3. Then it's not because of that. I guess you'll have to trim the neck if you can't get inside it.
  4. I haven't trimmed the neck line, but i might do it. I didn't have any trouble taking it on before i installed the rubber neck trim but now it's quite snug, but i can take it on and off. Depending on how much you want to remove, consider sanding as much as you can, it will be harder to make mistakes but takes some time. Also, how do you take your helmet on?
  5. My AP helmet looked that way too, Nothing to worry about. I think that's the way AP makes their helmets.
  6. Thanks for the tip Karin . But i got my helmet as i wanted it to look, very happy with the result Working on getting my second arm done. Do i have to have my TK-boots for making the shins?
  7. You can do as i did, wait until the paint is fully dry and then try to carefully scratch off the paintbleeds. I did this and it went very well! If you want pictures i can give you some
  8. And so here is a picture of the full right arm! I have tried it on with underarmor but didn't take that on for this picture. I think that my forearm is a little too snug, but i don't feel that when having the underarmor on. Onto the next arm Oh, also i have a teaser for you
  9. My forearm is currently beeing sealed at one side, the other will be sealed tomorrow. Pictures on sunday
  10. I got my first whole piece done this weekend The left bicep. I just got to sand some of the covering strips down and then it is completely done! (except strapping ) I also painted the o2 canister so that is ready for assembly! How long should the metal clips be?
  11. As i've decided that i got the time and tools, and that I'm not in a hurry of getting it done. I've decided to go with a pipebuild. My first question with that is will E6000 bond the sheet metal or what other glue would be recommended that isn't too hard to find and isn't too expensive?
  12. Looking forward to see another AP build here! Good luck mate!
  13. Do you think "Havannamagasinet" got humbrol thinner?
  14. It's it that i can't really buy a hasbro + conversion since I am aiming for Centurion
  15. Ye, i notice it now. I took a scrap piece and drew some black on it, wasn't as glossy as humbrol. But i just got a hard time cleaning the brushes properly. Not that i got too much more to paint now But still..
  16. Would using a sharpie be enough for the ear ranks?
  17. I managed to remove the paint bleedings and the tubestripes got rather nice
  18. Would E6000 do the trick?
  19. The painting of the tube stripes didn't go very well, if i messed it up too bad and can't chip of the little paint bleeds tomorrow, i have to get some humbrol thinner and some Dave-M tubestripe decals.
  20. Ok, I only got 2 inch elastic, is it too wide or can i use it? I haven't started strapping yet.
  21. Did you use elastic for the back/front and what size did you use for the strapping? Looking awesome!
  22. As for any other stormtrooper i would need a gun, perferrably the E-11 blaster. Now I've been looking at the Doopydoo's Full Resin E-11 Blaster, and thought it was nice. But then it was resin, which isn't very durable, and if resin is too manhandled it would just go poof and end up as a pile of dust (just break into many parts but still...). So I'm looking for advice from people who got one and what you think about it, how durable it is. And i would want some comments from people who has made pipebuilds, are they easy to do and how much do they generally cost (I'm not looking for any blastercore, atleast not this time ) Thanks!
  23. So, time for an update, I've been mostly preparing myself for the scariest thing so far. Gluing. And I've partially overcomed my fear. I've glued one covering strip to one of the biceps which should be cured tomorrow. I'm also going to check with you guys if my tubestripe mask looks ok. As what I've read there isn't any number of tubestripes set in stone so i guess it will do. Now pics
  24. I screwed mine in with the screws holding the bucket together
  25. Thats probably the angle, because i traced the bottom of the tear with a pencil so that i wouldn't draw up on the edge. And when i take a look at the helmet i see that it is precisely not coming up the edge.
