NE is discontinued because it was an unapproved recast that we didn't allow to be sold on here, so the makers of it went back to making AM (adding some improvements to it along the way).
A novel idea. But not the case. And since most people seem to use FX armour for their DT it's a moot point as nothing about FX armour says ANH. And the fact that it's kind of counter intuative to have strict guidelines on how tidy a zombie should look.
Here's my take on it. This is what the 1st of Sept was for. As we annouced this change was coming in early August. But if someone would submit their centurion on Sept 2nd, I wouldn't worry about it. But don't count on getting away with not having the notch by the end of September.
Helmet assembly I would guess. There are two pop rivets on each side of the helmet, holding the face, cap and back together.
The belt was held on to the canvas with three cap rivets.
Yes.
Steve, please edit the first post of this thread to reflect the changes, when you have the time. I recommend the strike for marking the old text obsolete.
I have asked the LMO to move this up to a Centurion requirement, and that the size is changed to 22x22 mm (Mike, you might want to change to 22x24 mm on the right hand size for added accuracy).
Apologies for not having a more active part in the discussion, but real life keeps me away from the keyboard.
We, the staff, are having a private discussion, and while it started out pretty much the same as this one, we are getting somewhere.
The word I got from RS is 22x24 mm on the right, and 22x22 mm on the left. So I'll even it out to 22x22 on both sides when I send the word to the LMO.
Keep in mind that the numbers are not the important part. It's more important to armour makers than costumers anyway.
There is pushing the envelope, and there is crazy. And I'm not going to tell you what you fear. And maybe, if we are lucky, AP will make the changes for newcomers.
No, they don't need new armour and you know it.
And yes, you know I'm trying to grandfather the FX helmet as you can see for yourself in the forums. The fact that nothing is happening is not my on my conscience.
It's unclear to me how you are building your suit. And I won't tell you you shouldn't do it any way you like, but it sounds like you're doing something wrong if this change is forcing you to make all those changes.
