  1. Glad the rivets worked out for you.
  2. All I know is that the RS mic tip is really "rough" as I think their original also was a resin cast. I've seen several guys here swap them out for tips from Keith or Mark
  3. Good! Then I simply missed that line. I don't that had gone official yet. Guess it has now.
  4. None of them are real, so pick whichever one you like best. Most seem to use the bottom left though.
  5. I don't see anything about the special rank-bar on the ears. The two half moons and the stripe through them. May want to add that, or I just missed them from the requirement list.
  6. You mean like this? -------- 3:rd hit on google. Key words "E-11 scope".
  7. ROTJ is not very popular among builders, so getting s nice replica from that movie is quite hard I'm afraid. I would wait to hear back from Kai if I were you. Or you could start in the other end and get armour first while you hunt for a blaster.
  8. I'm not very impressed by his other builds. So if yours keeps the same degree of accuarcy, I'm afraid it probably won't be very accurate.
  9. I think Mark's tips are the way to go here. I think they come with all the right parts, unassembled and white in colour. At least that's what I know from the pictures. I don't own one of them myself though.
  10. Snug, but not snug enough that if you flex your muscle you break the seams.
  11. Hey, that fits like a glove!
  12. I'm not really sure what the best way to go about this is to be honest. But I know for sure that it's best to go with one of them and stick to it. I'm sorry that the pictures in the CRL made you "mess up" your legs. Having pictures there is a bit of a dual edged sword.
  13. Well, in that case... Here's a list of some mods that might be cheap to fix to improve the ROTJ look *Repaint the frown bigger and rounder *Remove rivet covers and have 90 degree corners on belt *Re-shape shoulder bells to be more narrow and have more pinch *Make corners of shoulder bells rounder *Paint the soles white *Trim bottom of back plate for less overlap with kidney *Move knee ammo belt lower *Remove some excess plastic on the sides of sniper knee plate *Get a less wide canvas belt or use white webbing. 2 inches wide is about right I believe *Clean up your TD. At least get rid of that bondo or whatever it is. And if you got lots of time and if it's still possible, remove cover strips and use overlap assembly. I've tried to come up with fixes here that require minimal cash to fix. Not everything on this list is required for EIB, but would help to improve the look. But without getting a proper ROTJ helmet it's going to be hard to pull off the right look. Hope this helps
  14. The ANH novel was written after the movie was made, just FYI. But I'm sure you may be correct on the THX thing.
  15. It seems to me it would be easier on all parts if you hold out and wait until you can go full incinerator before applying for EIB. And I mean that in the nicest possible way. As it is right now, it's not a very good ROTJ, but it might be a pretty good incinerator. If you change things now to be a better ROTJ you might make it a worse incinerator, if you see what I mean. They may be similar, but not similar enough that fixing one thing cannot ruin another.
  16. Looking forward to seeing your EIB application.
  17. I think the half-rounded-ness of the TD only comes from the low polygon count of such an old game with limited graphics and the capabilities of yesterdays hardware.
  18. Looks like you're doing good on your build mate! However, I think you need to trim the sniper knee some more. You have way too much excess plastic on the side here I couldn't find a better picture, but on the originals it really wasn't that much although it's hard to see in this picture.
  19. We used to have one. Then we held a vote and the unanimous result was to delete it to mess you!
  20. I would to it a little bit slimmer, but just a tiiiny bit.
  21. If you join 501st and get an approved TK you may. Btw, there is no specific ROTJ section in the detachment only area. So don't worry!
  22. It's in the Detachment only section of the forums, Mark.
  23. No worries. It's just one point of many many in all CRLs. Easy to overlook unless you're looking for it specifically.
  24. That's not a new class of TK, its a sandtrooper without dirt. We've worked hard on getting rid of those...
