  1. Get as doopy doo resin kit (not the hasbro upgrade). If you have a friend in the US you might be able to get a hyperfirm. The first is accurate and cheap but in resin. The later is accurate and super durable but more expensive.
  2. Congratulations Brian!
  3. Kind of. But more like Dance off with the star wars stars.
  4. Accuracy aside, keep in mind that these are made specifically to allow the performers to do things that would be hard to pull off in normal TK gear.
  5. Okey. Might just be a perspective thing with the photo then.
  6. Looking pretty good there. I did notice your biceps are rotated about a quarter outward on all the pics. Is your strapping a bit off? It's nice to see you're making the effort to scratch build your blaster. I'm not skilled enough for that, but it seems to me like you're making it too small. It looks to be the same size as your hasbro, which is far too small compared to a sterling. So it would be a shame to put out so much effort that goes into a scratch build and get a vital measurement off by a few inches. Anyway, you look good so I see nothing obvious that could keep you from approval.
  7. Go with 11 then. A little bit too big is far more comfortable than a little bit too small.
  8. How can you love something you haven't got yet?
  9. You should talk to the Dutch garrison (http://www.dutchgarrison.nl/), they should know how things are done with SW blasters there. I met some of them last summer so I know they have blasters. Very nice people too!
  10. You've done an amazing job on it! Personally I feel like the teeth-holes could be more square. Yours look a bit too round. Not really your fault though, I think it's an issue with the mould, as most people do this.
  11. Yeah, have a look at that used on TM's recently sold replica helmet. Or as you can see on this original sandtrooper helmet This one should be close enough if you can't find it locally: http://trooperbay.co...lmet-brow-trim/ Using elastic for your drop boxes is easy. Don't give up just because you got the badge.
  12. One more small detail if you want to some day would be to replace the brow trim. It looks like it's sort of rounded at the bottom rather than the sharp angle it should be. I'll try to simulate this in ascii art. Proper trim |\ | \ |__\ Your trim | ' | | ' | |___| Ignore the ' in the illustration. It's just to compensate for the forums way of handling multiple spaces. Note that this is just nit-picking and you're free to do as you wish. Now congratulations on making centurion!
  13. But you are soon about to!
  14. Looking very nice. But then again, I've been watching the build so I already know that.
  15. There's nothing forbidding overlap style assembly in the centurion crl. But yeah, cover strip is nicer.
  16. I believe we need more pics of your helmet, to show off any decals and or hand painted details. You are looking good however. Better than most! But there's always room for improvement. You blaster is looking a bit funky as well, but is nice for a scratch build, and better than a hasbro! While I'm already nit-picking your drop boxes could come up a little, and attach with elastic instead of webbing. Not that those are required, but in the spirit of centurion.
  17. Get some aluminum strips and bend them yourself?
  18. I think it depends on which mode you have set it to. Don't have one myself, but someone should know.
  19. Don't be afraid of building yourself. I had no experience of anything like it before. I just read up a lot on the forums and went with it. I too wear a TM armour, and it's really easy to build. It's sculpted both accurately and easy to assemble. A slightly more expensive alternative than others, but not as much as SDS. And more accurate and easier to build than most other kits.
