  1. Anything from stormtrooper-shop or jedi robe (they are the same) - they sell overprized recast FX bundled with a redcast SDS stunt helmet. Not only are they recasts, and really expensive recasts, they are also really bad ones.
  2. I think some talented people figured out that 12 mm in from the edge and 45 degree angle is the "optimal" cut on the belt corners.
  3. Some kit-makers can assemble their kits for a fee. Seriously though, taking the easy way out is never the right way. Also, the rubies might look decent on that promo pic they always use in the online stores. In reality it looks nothing like in that picture. It's nothing but false marketing.
  4. 600 quid spend on rubies is 600 quid wasted. Might as well throw it out the window. I recommend saving up some more if you have to get one pre-built. You should reconsider building it yourself. It's not as hard as it looks and you have all the help you can ever need right here on the forum.
  5. Yeah, those hobby shops are really robbing you on the magnets. Same thing here in Sweden when they cost like $10 on ebay. They are often not as strong as you want them to be either.
  6. Looks like a fine fit to me.
  7. Have some coffee while you wait. You must be tired after working throughout the night!
  8. Excellent! Make sure to have lots of clamps and magnets then. Waiting for E-6000 to cure completely before being able to move on to the next part is the worst!
  9. I think you can take off another millimeter off the end caps on TD and another millimeter on the return on the bottom of the shoulder bell on the right in the picture. This is nit-picking, but since I know of your ambitions with this kit, it's better to do it now and to be picky. I'm very impressed by the amount of work you got done tonight! I was at my work and followed your posts with great pleasure.

  12. In the front of the forearm you want no return at all. In the back I like having some, and there are some screen caps of that too. Not all seem to have had return at the back of these pieces, so it's up to you.
  13. Absolutely. That's going to cut into your arm while trooping if you don't.
  14. This is the kind of area on the suit where a bit of extra space doesn't show a lot, so even if you would end up cutting more than exactly as much as you need, it won't matter much.
  15. Tape it up with the other half and see if you can move without pinching. I'm thinking you'll need to cut it.
  16. Thank you for everything Paul. You have been an amazing DL.
  17. Check the "By time period" setting on the left. That's what usually needs change for me when this happens.
  18. That's what I'm thinking it is now. Looks like the inside is now on the outside.
  19. I would have to agree with Quebectrooper. I think your shins were better before.
  20. Thank you for all your hard work Daetrin. And congratulations to Mason!
  21. Much better. Good work!
  22. Leave the sniper plate as it is. That's what I did and I've never had anyone question that.
