  1. ATA is pretty much the cheapest helmet you can get right now. Sometimes AP does a sale of 2nd grade helmets that are also a bargain.
  2. Looking good! Glad to see another Hero in the Nardic Garrison. Approved!
  3. LFL used resin casts in the production too. Not all blasters were real firearms.
  4. Pugman is the nickname of a guy who owns a ROTJ (I think. could be ESB) suit with some ANH parts to it, like boots and TD. And a real LFL made ESB resin blaster that he made a mould and some casts of.
  5. Here's the page on starwarshelmets.com on Marco helmets and armour: http://www.starwarshelmets.com/imperialfanMarco.htm
  6. Yeah, Marco was one of the first armour kits ever made. Looks terrible by todays standards, but are rare now so it might be worth keeping for the historic value. It may be what Albin used when first founding the 501st. Skygun is a fairly well known prop maker and has made some really cool "concept" helmets amongst other things.
  7. Yes, a modded hasbro is permitted for EIB. A very well modded hasbro is even more so. No hasbro whatsoever will however be permitted for Centurion.
  8. Ebay Kind of like this one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Burgundy-Wool-Military-Style-Beret-Berret-Size-7-NEW-/120916302935?pt=UK_Charms_Wristbands&hash=item1c272c5c57
  9. No but he was trying to "go by the book" and asked them for permission since it technically was not allowed, but had been permitted. After him asking too many questions they started to care and banned the blasters. Waking up the sleeping lion so to speak.
  10. 1. Gently pry off the first 1-2 (adjust as needed) inches of the strip at the bottom of the thigh. 2. Score a line across the cover strip where you want to cut it. 3. Take the cover strip and start bending upwards until it snaps at the scored line. These are the v-shaped cutouts I'm referring to (picture borrowed by SW1)
  11. I don't remeber really, but that's not the point. You should go with whatever works good for you. Don't be afraid to waste a few snaps getting it right.
  12. When I modded the front strip on my thigh I just used "score and snap" to make a horizontal score across the snap where I wanted it and snapped of that end (you may need to pry some off the lower end first). For the back of the thighs you can just do the v-shaped cutouts that many also do to their shins to make it more comfortable to walk in. That would take away the need to fill the gap.
  13. It surely is "Craptacular" and very, very nice!
  14. Left or right thigh? Don't run the cover strips all the way down, I did that once and it looked terrible. If your gap is on the right thigh it'll be covered by the ammo belt you put over there anyway. If it's on the left you may want to fill it with some ABS-paste, or just ignore it. The originals also had gaps all over, so don't worry too much.
  15. Yes we do. We'll have to get a FISD group photo from Legoland too!
  16. My shoulder -> bell elastic is maybe 1.5" when it's not streched. So it's very short, and I've never had the issue you're describing. On the other hand, I think TM shoulder bells are a little deeper. Either way, I think that's your solution.
  17. Looking good! I did the same thing with my holster. Riveted poppers to the belt and counter sunk the female snap because of the strap thickness. Yeah, your helmet does look like it's sitting a bit high. Yes, if you need to trim it, go ahead. Is it digging in at the front or back of the knee? You might just need to do the v-shaped cutout in the back.
  18. Good advice from Nick. In addition I'd recommend lowering the biceps top decrease the gap between bicep and forearm to show less black undersuit, and try to smooth/sand the edges of the ab button plates. They look a little rough. However that won't stop you from approval. Good job trooper!
  19. You can't join another garrison other than the one designated to your geographical area, unless you move of course. While I know very little of how 501st in Canada works, I think that the site you liked to is the Main Garrison, responsible for the whole of Canada, but your main point of contact would be with one of the outposts for your area. IE the garrison is split into sub-groups responsible for one part of Canada each and each seem to have it's own forum in addition to the "main" forum on 501st.ca. You should try signing up for the forum of the outpost of your region, I bet they are more welcoming. And you are of course more than welcome to stay here too, but you can't really troop with FISD as we are just a forum and a "R&D" department of 501st specializing in Stormtroopers. Either way, I'm happy that you feel welcome here, because you most certainly are!
  20. I was talking about Legoland Denmark. Just so that we're clear on that. I think you in GG have several Legoland events.
