  1. If you want you can go even lower, but if you don't then this isn't terrible where you are now.
  2. Your scope rail is too high. Thought I should point that out while it's still an easy fix. Loving the build anyway!
  3. I suggest just sanding down the area around the hole to get the indents off and then polish it back up. Should leave minimal marks. Also: Don't worry so much.
  4. There are some armour suppliers that provide building services at additional cost. AP, TM, CFO and RS most notably. AP is from Canada and have recently stopped taking new build orders to work on their backlog. TM, CFO and RS are both all the UK. CFO is best for a ROTJ style armour, and the others are best for ANH, although AP can also be used for some game related ANH/ROTJ hybrids. When it comes to ANH, it's TM and RS that are without doubt the best you can find. Although I think that you would find it fun to build yourself as well. It's not as hard as it looks, provides you with lots of skills and experience for doing more prop stuff further on, which I'm pretty sure you will. And you save a lot of money dong it yourself.
  5. Don't worry Erik. All you need to know can be found here. Or you can just ask.
  6. Yes, but I don't think you should stress it. Better to do it right the first time around and take the time you need.
  7. Yeah that's too high. The top of the belt should be attached to that ridge that goes along the bottom of the thigh. You should also trim off some more on the top and bottom of that knee belt.
  8. No worries. I just don't want more people to derail it further. There are other topics to discuss pros and cons of balaclava and black helmet interiors.
  9. Contrast too low, need close up. Looks like yours is too high though.
  10. Why you wear it was not really a part of the discussion though. The question was how many troopers during the filming wore it.
  11. Might just be that some had a lot of hair that needed covering up while other actors had less hair and no need for a balaclava.
  12. I think that it was more random. Some had and some didn't.------- If you look at this 'making of' clip, at 10:42 minutes in you can see a Stormtrooper getting dressed that doesn't wear a balaclava.
  13. You might want to replace those side rivets/brads with something a little smaller. They look quite a bit too large. And also paint them white, as well as tidying up the painted rear traps would do you good. With that said (and I hope you try to fix those issues) I approve your request! Good job!
  14. While I would strongly recommend upgrading your leg armour, thighs and shins, to ATA or similar, and pull those shoulder bells in a bit closer - your armour does check all the boxes and I therefore approve your request for centurion. Good job trooper!
  15. Vern, Have you ever built a shin with a glued on knee plate, or only used rivets? I'm asking because it sounds like you don't know what you're talking about.
  16. See! No problem
  17. Depends on the lenses. Not the colour. I got a green welding lens in my trooping helmet. No one has ever seen my eyes on photo.
  18. Brown lenses? Sent from my GT-I9300
  19. I'll get you for this! Messing with my profile while I sleep... have you no shame? Sent from my GT-I9300
