  1. 302nd. The number is now in the thread title.
  2. Excuse me Mr, but the next Celebration is actually this summer. Don't forget about us Europeans.

  4. Yeah, they would fit you. No problem with size for you.
  5. I see you have fixed your blaster. Approved!
  6. I don't see any problems here. Looks good (but those sharp corners on the shims look like they could hurt)! Approved!
  7. It's not often I see AM kits made this well. It's nice to see that it's possible. Approved! Congratulations on becoming EIB #300!
  8. It's also a clear cut approval here. The Spanish Garrison is doing very well these days. Beautiful armour.
  9. It's not an air bubble (it's also not a sticker. It's obvious that he's painted the helmet instead of using decals), it's in the mould. You're just too used to seeing replicas that you don't know what the originals look like. Here is the original helmet faceplate that RS used to cast from. See that it has the same marking. All original helmets have it. When TE first cast the Brian R helmet he removed it as a way to separate replicas from originals, and all subsequent helmets made from it are lacking the same detail. And the Dave M helmet:
  10. Looks good, but you do indeed need to fix that blaster end cap. It's upside down. Fix that and you'll have your EIB.
  11. "FX" is still made by lots of people. But none of them are the original makers of FX. They are all recasts. The original FX guys moved on to make AM and with that discontinued FX. They have now moved on further and discontinued AM.
  12. Pick one of the vendors from the first post. Most of them sell helmet kits separately for those that just want a helmet. Some can even build it for you for an additional fee.
  13. I was asked to back away since I'm not one to put padding around my words, but please understand that I don't mean to harm. But since you are asking me directly, I'm obliged to answer. If you want to make another good use of your surplus armour I would suggest taking a few kits and part them out as spares for existing FX kits that need replacement parts. I see people asking for it all the time. You might also have some luck with a chip-in page where legion members (or anyone really) could donate some cash for your cause. It might actually be more profitable than your current business plan. As for the making profit comment that was directed at your earlier post about selling while Mandy was still alive, not your current situation. The lipstick is about the FX, not any recast in particular. You may have the greatest FX in this part of the galaxy. That does not change the fact that it is FX. To me, it's a pig. To others, maybe not.
  14. You're not only paying for the plastic itself. That would be like expecting a pro painter to only ask you pay for the paint they used. There's more to it than that. But to answer your question; I haven't seen any armour maker out of those we recommend here charge $1000 for a kit. If you see such a price then it's always for a finished suit, or something from one of the rip-offs on ebay or certain online stores like jedi-robe.
  15. Maybe now he is, and to that I can only say best of luck. Funerals can be expensive I hear (in Sweden there's a small tax that pays for it). But he did say that at first they were trying to make profit out of it. I understand that things are different now though.
  16. Within certain limits it can. I understand and do like the fact that you stick up for you legion brother. It's what we do. But to the topic; You can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig.
  17. There is no canon explanation. You could go with the visual dictionary, but that is all made up stuff for kids. Not the most reliable source. That book says it's a thermal detonator however.
  18. It's your cash, and at least you know what you're getting. I just don't like it when those that don't know spend enormous amounts of cash on crap thinking it's great before coming over here and learning the truth. Jedi-robe anyone? How about $1200 for basically the same thing?
  19. Thank you Andrew for taking your time to explain yourself. And I am very sorry for your loss. While I can't argue much for your current motives, I did find my response to the previous thread from November regarding your sale, and in principle I still stand by this. 20. So how come he was selling these kits before his wife passed? I distinctly remember this ebay ad popping up once before.
  21. Seen it. FX recast (as stated in description). There are a lot better kits here. Move along.
  22. Did that include shipping times or just fabrication times? One could imagine shipping delays. TM didn't know me at all when I ordered my kit, so that can't be it though.
  23. Maybe the 400 troopers strong German garrison GML has a bit more on his hands than the pacific outpost GML?
