  2. Some more nice shots I got off of the UKG boys. Such a pleasure finally meeting you all! ----------
  3. More will follow tomorrow. I must say it was an absolute pleasure to meet Kevin and the work he's made on these suits is outstanding.
  4. Looking good there my friend!
  5. We're not doing this damn dance again. Thread locked.

  7. Alright. I guess I didn't read enough of your conversation.
  8. I say paint the screws. It's easy to do and accurate. Yes, the first picture has pop rivets where they repaired the strapping. Still painted though.
  9. This is not the how-to section. You cross posted. And there is no need to rack down on other peoples suggestions. If you are going to tell everyone that comes with their own ideas that yours is much better then that is also against the spirit of the forum, and yes you will actually have to supply some proof that what you are saying is actually true if you are going to make such claims. Therefore you should be scientific. You think it's harassment, but I'm just one of the few people that still aren't worn out from calling you out when you are acting out. You think it's personal because you are in the line of fire so often, but it's not. It's just that most people aren't racking down on others posts as much as you do.

  11. Yeah, well the question was about painting latex hand guards. So a method on making your own or how to paint boots is irrelevant to the original post. I think Karin has painted enough hand guards and tried enough different methods to know what she's talking about. And your comments, Vern, both here and in Glen's how-to are just as negative as those you are complaining about. There's an expression that comes to my mind suitable for situations like these; "Step up, or shut up". The original poster asked for info, and you both gave your options. End of discussion. If you want to "prove" that your method is the best, do that in a separate thread and in a scientific manner.
  12. I suppose that when hidden from view it doesn't matter so much, but they used cap rivets.
  13. Looks about right. Now you can add the cap rivets to hold it to the belt.
  14. There are two CRL's yes, but aside from things we as a club invented to be "hero" like the 4 holster rivets and so on, there really isn't any difference. The armour is the same, only the helmets have a distinctive difference.
  15. Use this button to attach images.

  17. There's no hero armour, only hero helmets. And yes you can remove some of the back legs to ease walking. Also, no, there is no minimum return edge you must keep around the legs either.
  18. Nice work on the suit, and I hope to see both of you in Essen.
  19. Thank you for not messing up the ab button trimming and using reference pictures!
  20. Error in the text. Don't worry about the textured fingers. If that is the really skin tight vinyl gloves like doctors use, I really wouldn't recommend it. Those are for one-time-use and will not stand up for trooping or fit a pair of inside glove liners to soak up the sweat.
  21. Seems to me like you are both suggesting the same thing, except Karin's solution comes ready to use in a bottle. Probably cheaper too than having to buy the latex separately.
