  1. Don't look at other people's builds. They could be wrong. Look at original armour in our gallery: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/gallery/
  2. I'm liking the new pictures. This is ready for approval. There is just one thing that I think you really, really, should fix. It doesn't affect approval, just overall niceness to wear and look. Strap you ab and chest plate together with elastics. It will help you a lot. Then you don't have to use the harness system you have going on. Let the whole torso be connected together and let it rest on your shoulders with the white shoulder straps. You also seem to have a lot of space inside the biceps. Consider making them slimmer. It would look better. You might also want to redo the tears of the helmet. They look very much like ESB rather than ANH. But I will approve it for EIB level anyway.
  3. Alright, I think this is ready. I strongly recommend you follow up on the advices given here though. And promise me to never, ever, wear those biceps like you do in the first pictures again. Approved!
  4. I would recommend spending that hour cleaning off the last dirt. Some weathering is fine, but "sand/dirt" isn't really the kind of weathering I have in mind if there is any. Another thing I suggest working on, since you seam to regret cutting the cod is to try to shim it back together with a strip of plastic to regain the rigid look and feel. You don't necessarily have to fill the join from the front, but I recommend putting it back into 1 piece. I'm also not too sure about the pop rivets on the butt plate. I can see there are snaps on the inside, but those snaps are supposed to go through the plate rather than be riveted to the inside. Another coat of black on the blaster would also improve the overall look greatly. To sum it up, neither of these, apart from the butt plate snaps are really show stoppers in my mind, but it would improve your look quite a lot I believe, and definitely make me more comfortable about putting my stamp of approval on this, After all, we do try to look our absolute best as centurions.
  5. Fantastic stuff! It would be so cool to see this come back out of an assembly plant all done.
  6. Have a look at our gallery. Link is up top named reference pictures. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  7. I'm sure that will do nicely. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  8. Could be. It was just something I noticed. I have no comparison up at the moment. Either way it is better than no cut out at all.
  9. I would try to improvise something. Maybe a cut down nail could be used to hammer down the snaps. You'll find something that works I'm sure. It's quite simple really. I think you made the kidney corners a bit too large btw now that I see them together with the ab. But don't worry too much about it. Just keep looking at original armour and do your best to make it look the same.
  10. Aren't there any set tools included with your snaps? I didn't use pliers on any of mine, only the small metal rod and plate that you hammer the snaps with. Works like a charm. The kidney corners look fine. Just make sure the depth line up with the butt plate.
  11. The knee pack was attached with cap rivets, and the way I put mine on was to stick a metal rod inside the thigh under the rivet and bash with the hammer from the outside using the rod as an anvil. You can easily attach the crotch strap permanently to the split rivet because I promise that you will never need to unsnap it at both ends. You already have snaps on the butt plate for disassembly.
  12. Indeed those holster rivets are way too far up. But you also have to get EIB before I can process centurion. Not that it should be a problem for you. Change the holster rivet positions and you could be done with both awards by tomorrow.
  13. I love that helmet, Dan.

  16. Yup! I got a can of it myself. R2Dan figured out the paint and colour matched it with the RS helmet in person. I've seen the comparison picture with the paint sample next to the helmet. It's an insanely close match. Used and hosted on FISD with permission by R2Dan.

  18. Not upside down, but way too low down the cheek tubes. About a pencil width from the face is a good distance.
  19. I suggest you reconsider how your butt plate is trimmed.
  20. Yeah, completely submerged for a few minutes. Use common sense and check up on it to not let it get too soft (it can't melt however, the ABS melting point is much higher). It gets as hot as you might expect from being submerged in boiling water....
  21. Whatever works for you. When I did my TM I softened it up in boiling water.
  22. Use our gallery and look at reference pictures: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/gallery/
  23. So once every 15 minutes?
  24. I don't see a problem with that. But you will still be bunched together with the stunts, just with a different helmet.
