  3. Apologies to you too Brian. As usual, there are two sides two each story, and I made the mistake of speaking before both were heard.
  4. Sorry Kyle, I didn't mean to lash out on you. I wasn't reading carefully enough when I replied last. I was on my way home, and now I have arrived and can reply properly. You haven't offended anyone. I was asked to take a look at it, because your GML wasn't sure about it. I told him that it was his call to make, and that FX suits of similar quality have been approved in the past. But I also said that I don't agree with those decisions. That last part was me as a person, not as the DL. I also don't think that just because a suit is of a design which has been approved in the past, that it should be automatically approved in the now. But I tried to make it clear that it's your GML's call to make, regardless of what I think, because I am somewhat of a hardliner. I do feel that you have reached the limits to where your suit can carry you, and that it isn't far enough. But I also did see your previous submission photos and that improvements were made. What I don't understand is the helmet replacement as it seems to me that the current helmet is a downgrade from the MRCE/eFX you appeared to have before (at least judging by your close ups). The suit you have, at least paired with the helmet you wear now lends me to believe your kit is a recast of jedirobe (aka stormtroopershop), which in itself is a recast of FX and SDS, who even in their original form are pretty bad. If I could comfort you in any way, I would say that your progress on this suit has in a clearly improved your skills in the craft, and that if you were to get a better kit I feel you could build that in no time and to much greater results.
  5. Ah. Sorry about that, Stormy. Didn't notice on the phone. But what I told the GML was not what was presented as me saying. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  6. Now you are actually putting words in my mouth. I said it's up to you to decide and that similar FX's have been approved before. Not that I agree with those decisions but you are making it out as if I told you what to do. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  7. Last post in the thread about the McQuarrie stuff on the detachment leader forum was in September last year and didn't reach much of a conclusion.
  8. Kevin, I will do some digging and get back to you. But right now I have to go to bed. I'm due to wake up in 5 hours for work.
  9. I'm not 100% on the details either, but what I've said already is as how I've understood it. Meaning that until there is enough concept costumes, the trooper being so far the only one, is to remain a TK. But as I've already said, I hope that the concept breaks free and gets an MQ designation. But that is not up to FISD I'm afraid. Or what we have said so far has not had an impact yet.
  10. Of course we at FISD are very proud to house the concept troopers. I met Kevin and the first other concept troopers at CE2 and I love having them as part of the detachment but I was also one of the proponents of making the designation MQ. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  11. It's an ongoing discussion but until they have their own detachment and are more characters it's classified as a TK. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  12. In that case, what kind of snaps did you use Steve? Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  13. How is this related to the thread?
  14. I don't buy in to this E-6000 melts plastic when touching metal. Only Vern has said it does and he never showed any proof of it. I or no one else I remember has seen it. It been debated to length before. In other words, keep calm and finish your armour.
  15. There is no benefit. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  16. Well, I am assuming that RS hasn't changed their shins from what their original has. But it's entirely possible that they made changes to make two of the outers look more like inners.
  17. The hyperfirm E-11 needs a D-ring to be even EIB approvable. And if you go with a hyperfirm DLT-19 I would recommend adding the wires around the T-track.
  18. Cristian is correct. 4 unique shin pieces, yes. But all of them outers.
  19. Assuming that the weapon you choose to apply with is up to specs, you can use either the E-11 or the DLT-19.
  20. Yes. I know it seems silly that I'm this stringent, but I copy/paste your replies into a script I made that generates the certificates, and if I have to modify your replies every time instead of you guys following very simple instructions, it gets pretty tiresome.
  21. Still not doing it right. But I will let it slip. http://www.whitearmor.net/eib/certificates/77847-eib.png
  22. Please read the instructions and follow them.
