  1. You have the man, TE himself to thank for that.
  2. Maybe it would help if some of our known makers let the staff in on their ebay aliases so that we could confirm or deny any ebay sales coming from legit makers. Also, Scootch, why did you let a cap&back that seems so thin, go out the door? I would assume that you handle each kit in person and knows how a good pull compares to a bad. I would expect quality control from legit makers, even when they sell on ebay. Anyway, good luck to everyone involved getting it sorted out.
  3. Valid answers for the sign-up question are; Star Wars starwars Starwars StarWars star wars
  4. I haven't built one myself but I've seen them in person and builds of then. So I'd say they are a bit harder to build but also a bit more accurate than doopy doo. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  5. You're welcome Aaron. And nice work on the ear.
  6. Are you sure guys you're not spending a lot of time making general assumptions about about something that might be specific to a single helmet? It's an interesting discussion of course, but lets not get too carried away. I can't see the same point here, on this hero helmet from the C4 exhibit.
  7. I think you should do the best you can and be happy with it. No need to go all out on your first try. That usually only makes people try too hard, get upset and quit. Instead you should ease in and gradually improve. No one is an expert at once. Btw, no RS does not make a hero helmet. But TM does.

  9. Too bad about the design but like you said, they broke convention so these things happen. Looking great nonetheless! Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  10. You can't claim to want to go with accuracy on the outside and then go with a Chicago screw. The original holsters are affixed with rivets and washers on the inside, yes. But those holster are attached permanently. Which wasn't what the question about the washers was about.
  11. Recasts can be accepted into the legion. It has nothing to do with their status as recasters to do with it. Our list of vendors are here because they are known to be of good quality, and reliability and they didn't rip anyone else off in the process of getting their moulds. In fact, most of them spent a ton of money getting them, instead of just copying someone else without their permission. Why you should stay away from ebay, at least until you know what you are doing, is because newbies like yourself are far too likely to get ripped off and get a overpriced shucks product. It has happened many times before. You got your first set of armour on ebay, and it was rejected even after extensive modifications. I would have thought you had learned from that experience by now. You have a whole thread here that have no financial interest (expect maybe ABS80) in which armour you buy, and only want to help you get the best (both in terms of money, quality and accuracy) armour for you. Do you really think that a random stranger on ebay will have the same considerations for you?
  12. No need for washers if the rivet expands enough. I've made the belts using this method, none had extra washers. They would probably just get in the way, anyway.
  13. You might want to take some height off of the shins from the bottom, to make your legs look (and probably feel) less constricted.

  15. Please be aware that our DO, Steve is on vacation.
  16. If it was paint it would look the same in all photos (more or less), not look raw in one and white (or over-exposed rather) in the other.
  17. That's not white paint, it's glare from the lights.
  18. Those are large pop rivets. Not newey snaps. Rivets come in several sizes. And the belt isn't made of leather either.
  19. Replicas don't count Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  20. In that case, please do tell Vern. Instead of just not saying what it isn't. Because I spend a good deal of time looking at them and they look like rivets to me.
  21. I think all stormtroopers should look a little beaten up. Like you have seen combat. But that's just me.
  22. It was removed because it makes no sense to require scuffed boots to spotless armours. Just as it makes no sense to to wear spotless boots to a scuffed armour. So while it's no official requirement, common sense dictates that your boots should match the condition of your armour.
  23. It used to be but we removed it a few months ago. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  24. You can do the accurate but snappy way by using half a male snap as a washer and rivet it to the belt and then put the female halves on the straps. Accurate outside, practical inside. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  25. No it's not. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
