  1. Hmm. Well I need to finish my canvas belt. Get an O2 canister. Correct boots. Left handed holster. Mod my Hasbro blaster. Finish painting the teeth on my FX and get new decals. I can probly get this done by the end of the year.
  2. Try not to be too specific in your search. I try maybe one keyword but no more then two. It's easier to get alot of results and pan through them.
  3. The gray paint looks like a close match to the traps. Is it possible to find some gloss/clear coat or even possibly glaze the frown so that it's glossy? Looks good thusfar. Keep it up.
  4. I only watched for the commercials. Very disappointing this year.
  5. I was referring to the Gallery on here. I thought there was a limit on how much you can upload. But I'm not totally sure.
  6. Isnt there a limit on that?
  7. Thanks guys. One more question. Would the Humbrol Satin Coal Black work for the vocoder? Or is that too light of a black since coal usually is a little gray in color? I'm going to order some here soon, so I would like to know before I place my order. Thanks again for the link.
  8. I'm starting to wonder why "pullers" don't "pull" ears with 3 bumps. I know the Hero isn't the helmet most want to wear, but I figure if you have the tools to "pull" then maybe make some for the ones who might need it. Maybe if I ever get around to building my vac table, I will try and make some ears for the Hero config. Or better yet, I will make a mould from MDF so I could send it out for someone respectalbe to maybe make a few "pulls" with. I believe TK560 is near me, so maybe I will get in touch with him and talk about this.
  9. Where do you guys find Humbrol #5. Most sites I've seen say they don't ship to the US. I haven't seen any in hobby shops or other craft stores. If anyone knows where I can find some here in the US please let me know, because I'm at a loss as to where to find some. Oh, and Ryan. Looks like you are ready for some screen for those nice looking helmets. Let me know when you're ready.
  10. The three ridges could be redone if you are going to go through the trouble of sanding down the bumps and filling in the extra tooth. Might as well sand down the four ridges and use some bondo to make three new bumps.
  11. Looking good there bud. Screen is on its way but not sure how long it will be.
  12. Because the original ROTJ helmet it was cast from had them. So it is more of an accurate representation of what was used on screen. I'm sures someone with more knowledge as to why there are bumps on the helmet in the first place can chime in on this.
  13. Question. When painting your helmet with the ears attached, will they be hard to remove if needed? Will they be "fused" to the helmet? Is it better to paint them seperately? Or does the paint still leave the seams open? Thanks to anyone who can answer this for me. Your helmets are looking good.
  14. Oh. Ok. I had no clue. They looked really similar to the ANH ones. The only difference I can see is the metal ring looks thicker. I wish you luck in your search.
  15. I believe keith makes good ones. Try contacting him or possibly Guns.
  16. If you mean flat green then that is old news. It is already mentioned in the ROTJ Elite Standards. But if you mean flat gray lenses, then that is probly something to look into, however, all the ROTJ lids that I have seen posted have gray bubble lenses if they were the gray in color.
  17. I think that the schools should really stop worrying about a kids look and worry more about if they are getting educated or not. If they would focus more time on the academic part instead of worrying over what a kid is wearing or how long his hair is, kids today would be so much happier and smarter. I mean seriously, WTF difference does it make if his hair is long or short? TEACH THEM NO MATTER WHAT THEY LOOK LIKE! I don't think they get after girls for having.....GASP dare I say....short hair?!? Ok. I'm done ranting for now. Carry on. Also. I would believe that it depends on what type of interior you will have in your helmet. You will possibly get it caught on a hard hat liner but I'm just speculating. And I'm pretty sure that you will sweat in it, whether or not you have long hair. That's why most people opt to put in fans to draw in cooler air. Search this site and you will find many ways of going about this. Hope this helps.
  18. I don't think it matters as long as they don't "commercialize" them for sale. Also, if GL's lawyers wanted to find out who the armor makers are, I'm sure they could so very easily. All they would have to do is come on one of these sites and ask around. They could get the list of all the names and contact info very easily as most people on here have.
  19. What? Something went wrong on a Mac???? OMG......The earth is at its end....../end sacrasm Yup. It's the same error on my WinXP desktop as my Vista laptop. Both use IE7. For some reason I cannot use Firefox on my desktop. I used to have it on there, but everytime I went to run it, it shows it's running two times in my Task Manager. I've deleted it from the registry and uninstalled it. Everytime I reinstall and try running it, same problem. I'm stumped.
  20. I get the "done with errors on page" but everything loads quickly. I'm using Vista Basic on my laptop and using IE to view the webpage.
  21. Well my wife is the one that got me my first FX costume. So it's hard for her to say that I cannot buy all the supplies to improve my kit . She takes it in stride and love that I found a hobby.....even though sometimes it seems expensive. Which it really isn't compared to my other hobby....photography . I've spent more money on my lenses then my costume. But she loves the fact that I will be joinning the 501st this year and I hope to troop soon. -That is all. Carry on.
  22. It should read 6 different uniforms and 7 different hats.
  23. that hero helmet has bubble lenses. the stunts are flat. so i assume that it isn't the same material used in both helmets. is it possible that the hero helmets had actual lenses made specifically for them?
  24. I don't want to step on your toes or diss your work though Stomper when I mention this. From what I've seen, if you use the tips with speakers, the interior color doesn't match up which I know is not your fault Stomper since the speakers are black. The movie mic tips have a white/beige interior and Stompers are black because of the speakers used. But the screen mesh that is used is not movie accurate also, however the exterior of the tips are dead on. Again, I am not trying to say anyones work look bad, especially yours Stomper (which I've bought a set from a while back), it's just my opinion on what looks movie accurate as far as the interior color and screen. If the screen were to be more accurate and somehow get white speakers, then you would have the best of both worlds. Accuracy and speakers!!!
  25. Thanks for sharing Matt. I had two questions that I hope you can answer. Was it just the tubes that had the decals or did the traps have them as well? Also is there any truth to the fact that some helmets had 11 stripes on one side and 13 on the other?
