Master Replicas Hero Helmets..
ManInWhite replied to Trooper Q2's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
I thought the license expires at the end of the year, I could be wrong. They are probly trying to squeeze the last of the milk out of it while they can. -
A piece fell off my bucket, I need a replacement
ManInWhite replied to tk4679's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
I believe you are right Wade. That's what I was thinking as well. -
I would but it's in too many pieces, still trying to fix all the mistakes of the prevoius owner.....and it's been to cold to work on.

Quick question about the buttons. What are the correct Testor's colors? 1138 for gray and 1111 or 1110 for the blue? Or are they totally different then those as well?

Newbie's armor set up so far
ManInWhite replied to steveo's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Those boots are the poo! Where can I get a set? They let you stand on walls ! From what I can tell (holding my laptop sideways to see correctly), you are missing the drop boxes, your holster is on the wrong side (unless you are doing ROTJ) which maybe you are since I don't see the buttons on your ab plate like on a ANH should be. Also your biceps should be a little higher, but that's just me. -
Did you go through the 501st site? Did you submit your photos? I think it can take up to a week, most times sooner. When did you submit your application?

My FX Bucket redone.....slightly
ManInWhite replied to ManInWhite's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
Another update. I got my tips installed today and also cut out the teeth. I still got to get the paint to do the teeth. Here's the helmet with the old and new tips: ------------- Here's the semi-finished bucket. ------------- Anyone know if there are Hero style ear caps for an FX helmet? Otherwise I'm going to cut the fourth tooth. -
No problem here. I'm using IE7 right now.

Look at the quote above. They are FX bells that a mould was taken from and then redone to include the swoop and then new ones were pulled from this. Hope that helps.

You got it. The decals were already on there. I'll try the windex later on tonight. If I get new ones, I know I'll be able to get them on there alot better if needed, which will probably be what will happen since these ones look a bit stretched out. -

Oh, there's loads to do before I get to elite status. I still have to get a left sided holster from someone........ Definately will be opening the frown (once I find my dremel tool). Not sure I'm going the Hero route because the brow trim is too thin to cover the seam of the FX helmet. All I need to get is a flat green lens for the Stunt look. I also need a new set of decals, the ones that are on there need to be replaced. I have no idea why you would be biased ;). -
So I guess to be SA for ANH the swoops go in opposite directions. Anyone know if there are any available in the States?

So a few weeks back, I bought some blue tube stripes from Scott M. (thanks man)and new brow trim from Thumper (thanks bud). I also have some Hovi's on the way (non speaker/unfinished from Stomper). These will be going onto a new bucket next year, but maybe I should put them on this one temperarily? Anyways, I think it looks better then it did......for an FX anyway. I've been waiting for this since I joined this forum. Thanks for letting a fellow trooper know .

This by far is the most detailed "Build Thread" I have seen. This should be recommended for a pin for sure. Can't wait to see how you do the tube stripes, this one always bewildered me how people can paint them on. Keep up the awesome work.

Ribbed Neckseal Question
ManInWhite replied to ManInWhite's topic in Boots, Soft Parts, and other Accessories
Yeah, I was eyeing that as well. Triktoys looks good, but the neckseal+shipping would be about the price of that one piece underarmor/neckseal. I might hold off for that. I guess I need to ask TK4205 if he is still making these. -
Ribbed Neckseal Question
ManInWhite replied to ManInWhite's topic in Boots, Soft Parts, and other Accessories
As soon as I posted this, I read your post in the Sound F/X thread and you mentioned his neckseals, lol. I'm pretty sure his are good and not a bad price to boot. I just wanted to make sure before I put in an order. Also, I love Colorado Springs, and Colorado in general. I can't wait to go back, it's been too long since I've been there, I think 5 years now. Maybe in a year or two, depending on my job situation. Thanks for the info. -
I'm needing to get a neckseal and am wondering if the tricktoys one is any good? It looks better then the one's made of rubber. Just wondering if any has one and where most got theirs.

I don't think he could do that without taking the chance of getting sued by the guy for harrassment, but that doesn't mean it has to be just Craig who "detains" him .

The dent would need to be on the front forhead for that -
So they don't have internet in Canada yet?

Hook instead of thermal detonator
ManInWhite replied to Schaf's topic in Boots, Soft Parts, and other Accessories
Looks very accurate. If you could post some more pics from different angles please, this would help me determine what would be best to use to make one. Thanks. -

I will try tomorrow to get a higher resolution on them. Was just messing around on the laptop and 1280x800 is the highest resolution available. Might be able to get 1600x1200 on my desktop (which is at my parents house since I get free cable internet there ) which will help when zooming in.
