  1. Panda, that's what I was thinking. I am looking at all types of options before I start on my legs this weekend.
  2. Nothing good would ever come from that.
  3. Great pics, I never noticed a beach though. Anyway, question. I seen the surf board, have you ever went surfing while wearing the TK suit? That would be cool to see. A "Surftrooper". Way cool!
  4. Is this the second guys helmet? http://cgi.ebay.com/STAR-WARS-STORM-TROOPE...e8#ht_500wt_883
  5. Here near Nashville Tennessee it's like living on Dagobah with all the rain we have had. Too much water here now.
  6. E600 is like the Force, it binds all things together. And it is rather easy to clean up.
  7. I'm working on my AM Build and trust me you will be very pleased. This being my first build and learning along the way. It has not been a hard as I thought it was going to be. Please post some pics.
  8. I want to go with the ANH version. Any suggestions or thoughts? Thanks.
  9. NEW PICS AS OF 02-15-10 I have been working on and following the post in reference to the AM Kit builds. I received my AM Kit on Christmas Eve and have been taking it slow studying all the pics and post on here. I just wanted to post a pic of some of the progress on the kit. I have completed the arms, now starting on the mid section. I would like to thank Panda for all the great information he has helped me with. "Thanks Panda for all the help!" I have more to work on and taking my time. I will post more pics when they are ready. I would appreciate any advice you guys have as this is my first suit build. Thanks guys.
  10. "Today will be a day long remembered. It has seen the arrival of the AM kit, and will soon see the end of the Rebellion"
  11. I was debating this very thing this weekend as I am also working on my AM kit. I think I will go the route of using the velcro as well. Like I have read, more is better and once it's gone it's gone. Better to play it safe for now. I will post pics once I have completed the kit.
  12. Brother, I'm in the same boat you are. Miles away, building solo, working on my first suit. Scared to death I'm going to screw up something. Trust me I do understand. I have been following your thread very closley as I'm building an AM Kit as well. Thanks for posting all that you have.
  13. I wonder how hard it would be to get a documentary together, having chapters telling about the progression of the unit. Back ground on what led to it's creation and where it is headed. Meeting units from all over the world and such. The main reason I got into this was when I seen how much the children enjoyed it. For that short time in their lives they had no worries or cares. Only having fun. I love when the child said "I'm coloring with Darth Vader". It melts your heart.
  14. Your doing a great job. I have been following your post working on my AM Kit as well. Getting ideas from you. Thanks you for sharing the pics, please post more.
  15. Has to be Empire Strikes Back.... The best quote in the whole move is: "Good. It would be unfortunate if I had to leave a garrison here." I wanted to be a trooper so bad after hearing that.
  16. Thank you so much guys, It would be a great help. This being my first set of TK armor. I just need some reference pics to see the tolerances between the armor and the persons wearing it. Like how much room is left between their arm and the bicep armor parts. I don't want to cut too much off, but on the other hand I don't want it to be way big and goofy looking as well. I'm just trying to play it safe with my new set of armor, and get an idea from you guys what the parts look like one part at a time rather than a complete suit. This would help me gauge how much to cut mine in reference to arms and such. Thanks in advance, Keith........
  17. I don't know if someone has already done it, if so my bad. But I was wondering of someone has posted any pics on here of how each part is to fit on the person once it is completed. As far as how much gap is allowed on the arm in reference to the biceps, legs and calf parts. ect... I am working on my first kit and not really knowing what I'm doing and willing to learn. I would like to see what the individual parts are supposed to look like once completed. I am working on a AM kit, my first and started on the biceps and have no clue of how much room to allow or were to cut to make these things fit. If someone could help, I would greatly thankful. Thanks in advance. Keith..........
  18. I have been working some more on this bucket by adding some more pads. Fits like a glove. Also have gotten rid of the green lenses and replaced with dark lenses. An option for using dark lenses I have found are the ARMY dust goggles. You can buy replacement lenses in the dark "Smoke" color for around $2 a set. It takes two sets for a helmet due to the size of the lenses. They have worked out great! I just thought I would post this. I'm getting ready to start on the body armor this weekend. Hope to have it ready by spring. Here are some pics of the up dated padding. Do you guys think the helmet is ready for trooping?
  19. I feel sorry for the new guys that want to be a TK and bought into this crap. It leaves for a bad taste. Good Job Joe!
  20. I had read this post earlier and was in the process of posting something after watching it. It was very hard to type during all the laughing. Sorry, I will do better. What a guy......all I can say. LMAO
  21. I have been working on an MRCE helmet. I started by removing the cheap plastic padding that comes in it. I was looking around for a way to place some type of system in the helmet to keep it from looking like a Bobble Head. I thought about a hard hat system. That did not work out. Then I thought about placing soft foam in the helmet to help. Did not work out, also it looked ugly. I'm a Law Enforcement office on an operations team. I started looking at our helmets. The helmets that we use are called MICH Helmets. Current Army issue. The pad system in it is attached by velcro and is a modular type system. So it can be removed very easy. I then placed the "Hook" side of the velcro on the TK bucket and ordered some MICH helmet pads off of Ebay for around $20. This has worked out perfect. I just wanted to share it with you guys. Here are some pics. One pic is my MRCE helmet, and the other is my SWAT helmet for reference. They can be ordered in black or green.
