Got the email this afternoon! I'm now ID4053. This number means a lot to me as it is my late father's birthday. He was the person who took me to see the first film in 1977. Here is the link to my member page: http://www.501st.com/members/displaymemberdetails.php?userID=12903

Okay we're in the new year and I hope everyone is still working on things. I'm posting here because I've done down a whole clothing size. Yep, a whole size. Haven't dropped that many pounds, but who cares? My clothes fit better. Except for my new ISB tunic, that I tailored to my measurements when I as a little bit bigger. Oh well, I'll just have to take it in, but not until later. Also, I just applied for a position as a Strategic Data Analyst with the makers of P90X. Should be interesting and if I get it I'm going to be moving back to L.A. Kind of weird, but right now with the winter weather, I don't think I'd mind. Anyway, if people want some direction, or motivation, let's keep this group going for the new year okay? I think BlueHickey had a great idea with this thread. TTFN

Looks awesome! Have you posted these over in the JRS forums? Looking forward to seeing you overthere with new colors in your name. Good Luck!

Okay, those of you who know me, know I've been working on my uniforms for a long time. On the third tunic, I've hit the jackpot. My GML sent me an email saying my ISB was approved, and I just need to wait for the LMO to assign me a number and I'm completely official. So as soon as I get that number I'll be updating my info here. Here is my new improved and approved ISB... Now I just need a job, need to finish losing the weight, and yes, I'll be needing to take the tunic in to fit me better in about 2-3 weeks. It is already looser than when I first put it together.

This is a new regulation put into place and a signed international agreement. This applies to all shipped items which will be considered air cargo not on designated shipping comany planes, i.e. all items shipped via local postal services air mail to the U.S. This is the Dept. Of Homeland Screwup, I mean Security's panicked response to last fall's bomb in air cargo on planes threat coming out of Yemen. I'm not an eexplosives expert by any means, but I think a lot of damage can be done by less than 1lb or 500g of plastique. This sucks, I order a lot of out of print books from overseas and not I'm not. Going to be able to afford it. Let alone the hand guards, shoulder straps, and compad I was about to order from people overseas. I'm terribly disappointed in the gov't.

Since we're on the subject of user names...no mine isn't what I sign while trooping. I use the callsign "Shadow" for my TIE pilot persona which is still under construction, and Cmdr Kyramla Goran for my ISB since there aren't any women ISB officers in the SW Universe. In fact, the unofficial squad I belong to the 149th War Wolves encourages all its members to come up with nicknames and biographies. For those of you who don't speak Mando'a, my ISB name means "fatal" or "deadly metalworker" and in my bio I come from Mandalore. As for tigger68 that one has been a nickname for years. I had a hard time staying still as a child so my mom called me her tigger and it stuck. Walt Disney introduced his cartoon version of the character in 1968 the same year I was born so it is a logical conclusion. And yes I have thought WAY too much about it, but kids want autographs and I can't sign them "tigger" now can I?

What happens to the remaining TKs after the Empire falls!
tigger68 replied to RogueTrooper's topic in Off Topic
Loved it. Think we need to do one (with good armor) kind of along the lines of Gary the Cylon...would be hilarious. But this one is really creative and a great find. -
Congratulations to all! Your hard work is not unappreciated trust me.

Just thought I'd post this here for edification. Not looking to purchase it, as I want to be white and shiny when I make my TK, but thought people might want to take a look. Makazie One Female TK armor If it is true, then there were a lot of people who thought the actress wearing the armor at the end of the movie was shall we say rather attractive? Hope someone gets it who appreciates it.

RIP Mr. McCune. We have lost another great talent that helped shape and change movie making and imagination forever.

Congratulations Paul! You've done an excellent job here. Keep up the good work, and we look forward to your next 10,000 posts!

Tanner, good luck putting the weight back on. Remember just one step at a time, take it one day at a time okay? As for the rest of us...the new year is upon us. Time to look back over what we've done, or haven't done this past year, remember NO GUILT! NO REGRETS! And that we have a new year to keep working on looking the best we can in our armor. Happy New Year Fit Club! P.S. I'm off to enjoy my non-alcoholic full-fat egg nog...anyone want to join me?

Well, if they added a railing the gunners might be prone to leaning on it and resting. I mean really, why else would the railing be there? You don't need to prevent falls.

Okay, now you can spy for the Imperials on the Rebel Side. Seriously Congratulations Julie. You deserve this.

Okay, I was browsing YouTube and I found this video. Absolutely hilarious, and now I'm going through all this person's videos because they are just funny. Hope you enjoy it. At least TK's aren't the only ones who can't hit the broadside of a barn in this movie...

Oops I'll have to fix that before Lord Vader sees it. I don't want to be Force choked before I open my presents. I am working on Death Star Wonderland, but I have to fix a couple of the stanzas in the verses before I can finish it. And I was khinking about a "Deck the Halls" something. I'll have to work on them before next year. Have a Happy/Merry Sithmas everyone! P.S. RogueTrooper, I never knew about the Star Wars Christmas album...okay, I'm a little freaked out now.

Okay, I know I'm freaking out about the holidays, and maybe its because I'm working retail and I'm beginning to crack up, but last night during a chat session on another 501st costume forum, and getting the first verse from one of the detachment leaders, I came up with the following Christmas, I mean Sithmas carol. 12 Days of Sithmas (by ImperialMistress - Jolly Roger Squadron & Tigger68 - Jolly Roger Squadron and FISD) On the first day of Sithmas the Legion gave to me - My very own TKID On the second day of Sithmas the Legion gave to me...two legion patches and my very own TKID... On the third day of Sithmas the Legion gave to me, three new squadrons, two Legion patches and my very own TKID. On the fourth day of Christmas the Legion gave to me, four CRLs, three new squadrons, two Legion Patches, and my very own TKID. On the fifth day of Sithmas, the Legion gave to me, FIVE BOBA FETTS!, Four CRLs, three new squadrons, two Legion patches, and my very own TKID. On the sixth day of Sithmas, the Legion gave to me, six droid hunt IDs, FIVE BOBA FETTS!, Four CRLs, three new squadrons, two Legion patches and my very one TKID. On the seventh day of Sithmas, the Legion gave to me, seven Star Wars concerts, six droid hunt IDs, FIVE BOBA FETTS! Four CRLs, three new squadrons, two Legion patches, and my very own TKID. On the eighth day of Sithmas, the Legion gave to me, eight troopers trooping, seven Star Wars Concerts, six droid hunt IDs, FIVE BOBA FETTS! Four CRLs, three new squadrons, two Legion patches, and my very own TKID. On the ninth day of Sithmas the Legion gave to me, nine scouts tree-hugging, eight troopers trooping, seven Star Wars concerts, six droid hunt IDs, FIVE BOBA FETTS! Four CRLs, three new squadrons, two Legion patches and my very own TKID. On the tenth day of Sithmas, the Legion gave to me, ten sith lords a’choking, nine scouts tree-hugging, eight troopers trooping, seven Star Wars concerts, six droid hunt IDs, FIVE BOBA FETTS! Four CRLs, three new squadrons, two Legion patches and my very own TKID. On the eleventh day of Sithmas, the Legion gave to me, eleven gunners firing, ten sith lords a’ choking, nine scouts tree-hugging, eight troopers trooping, seven Star Wars concerts, six droid hunt IDs, FIVE BOBA FETTS! Four CRLs, three new squadrons, two Legion patches and my very own TKID. On the twelfth day of Sithmas the Legion gave to me, twelve pilots blasting, eleven gunners firing, ten sith lords a’ choking, nine scouts tree-hugging, eight troopers trooping, seven Star Wars concerts, six droid hunt IDs, FIVE BOBA FETTS! Four CRLs, three new squadrons, two Legion patches and...my...very...o w n, T K I D! Happy Holidays everyone!

Just looking at his face at the end of the video drives home the point as said earlier, this is why we do what we do. What a great thing, and I hope there is a miracle waiting for him.

jnnfr72, welcome to the fit club. Okay, I'm going to pass along some more advice, that I mentioned at the beginning of this thread. The Ideal Weight or BMI standard is not entirely accurate. Yes I know that is what everyone uses, but honestly, it is all about the fat percentage in your body. So if you can afford it, go get a scale that not only weighs you, but also does fat percentage estimates. I say estimates because the only accurate way to measure fat percentage is through hydrostatic weighing, i.e. they submerge you in water and take weight measurements, the more fat, the less you weigh in water, and yes they do take into account the air in your lungs. At least if done accurately. Fat percentage is the best way to determine what your weight should be. I am going to look up the latest research on this and get back to you, in the meantime, don't anyone stress especially this time of year. Remember the no guilt, and that we can all go on the "Carrotstickendietisch" after New Years...what is the "Carrotstickendietisch" you ask? Take 200 carrots, peel and slice into sticks...eat, wash down with water. Repeat. Comes from a comedic look at Christmastime by Sandra Boynton. Ciao for now!

Way to go Julie! Glad to see you got accepted. We need more good people in the group.

I completely agree. I feel VERY normal now after watching that one. People think we're weird for dressing up as Star Wars characters? Oh boy someone pass me a white shiny bucket, I want to hide my shame that I actually started watching that one.
