  1. It’s good but as we can see in my post above, it’s not correct if you compare to the screen used helmets. They have 9 teeth with 10 cut outs. An update on the files should be in order, if the ”gold-standard” label are to be intact The helmet I’m using have 9 teeth and 10 cut outs (PewPewCraft file) Still, those files aren’t exactly like the screen used either, so no gold-standard for PPC And just want to say, I could never ever create anything to be printed or vaccuformed so not dizzing anyones skill. Just comparing to screen used helmets.

  2. I think the wording with 8 teeth was ”wrong” from the get go and just a crossover från OT helmets with the 8 cut outs, somehow it transfered into teeth . If the CRLs isn’t updated then a helmet with the (correct) 9 teeth might not be approved by a GML. If available helmets are a concern then have the text say 8 or 9 teeth for basic and for higher levels the correct 9 teeth with 10 cut outs are present. Just an idea. Looking at the ROTK CRL helmet there are 9 teeth, missing the spaces on the ends though. And..come to to think of it, as there is a ”center tooth” there can’t be an even number of teeth meaning all helmets out there ”should” be fine.

  3. I totally agree. 10 spaces is right. I'm just trying to point out that - very likely - no current helmet print file or prop producer has 10 spaces.

  5. I don't quite have things lined up perfectly, but it's good enough to post - this is @TKModder421's helmet, which is obsessively modified from Nico's already-gold-standard helmet. Please note the teeth. Nine teeth. Eight openings. There COULD be ten openings with some hand modification to the printed parts, but it would be difficult. The outer teeth go pretty far to the edge. My printed Nico bucket is the same. I think every kit would require very careful modification to achieve ten openings. However, NINE teeth is the correct number that should be in every R1 based CRL.

  6. I have Jim Tripon's helmet, so I'm just speaking for that, but I'll just have to cut out the areas at each end of the frown to create the 9th and 10th space outside the teeth. Good catch on TheSwede's part and a quick mod to bring my helmet into compliance.

  7. Good thing that, the raised method seems more difficult not getting gold were you don’t want it, although making more sence as a repair-method.

  9. Sexy. Something interesting (well to me) I was watching a cartoon yesterday and it was using the Kintsugi method of glue and gold paint to fix a chess piece, what I did notice was the glue was raised and once painted gold it gave a curved higher appearance, like below But we can however see that the Kintsugi method of the night troopers is definitely dremeled/gouged/scribed/recessed
