  1. A Garrison friend is builidng Cap Enoch so figured we needed a footsoldier to keep him company and here we are Started on the Helmet (files are PPC) and shapewise it’s good but the teeth and tubestripes could be better but I guess it’s good enough for basic, we shall see. Mapped out the cracks with a pencil to see what I would like and then the carving started. Pretty happy were it’s at but can always add more cracks..well…you can also reduce them with a bit more work For the gold I will start with acrylics and see how that looks.

  2. Good call, will sit differently once you have your shoulders attached.

  3. Progress on the rest of the armor has been going well. I've started painting everything except for the belt and calf armor, which still need to get sanded and primed. I've also just started filling printer lines on some parts of the munitions pack as I wait for all the paint to dry before adding more yellow detailing and weathering. I also did a test fit of the chestplate and abdomen armor (all still partially assembled, not fully strapped together) with the helmet, pauldron, and undersuit to get a better idea of how the parts were coming along. Admittedly I need to adjust the pauldron to get it sitting better than it was in the photo, but I figured it's best to hold off on fixing that until the shoulder plates can be added

  4. Nothing you haven't see others tackle as one of the first few steps. Started with all of the cutouts on the helmet this weekend. Used a Dremel with a drill bit to make initial holes and then went to work with my file set. As others have noted, I'm glad I added an extra layer of resin to the interior of the helmet - it was definitely noticeable how thin some part of the helmet are as I started filing. That's it for now, thanks. (and thanks for the tip on posting photos @gmrhodes13!)

  6. You may not get a reply as the member has not been on the forum since 16th January. Although ABS I've found some polishes will work although I've had to use automotive compound for deeper scratches/marks
