  1. I have not been able to get mine to fit totally tight between the back and kidney plate either. I've adjusted the strapping, used new straps and still there is a little gap. I'm curious too how it can be done.
  2. Congratulations! Looking forward to watching your troop log. Out of the gate with a bang that's for sure!
  3. So what did this look like? You get short notice for a paid gig but don't know the gig? You had to apply? What was the criteria for getting picked or not picked? It's interesting.
  4. So are these types of things paid gigs? I'm sure I am not the only one who is a bit jealous of this particular "troop".
  5. AP also has a FB page you can message him from. He's very good at responding to emails though. AUTHENTICPROPS stormtrooper armor | Facebook
  6. So, how much did you know in advance going into this troop or were you all surprised? How many hours did you all put into it? Really would be something awesome to experience!
  7. Those poor porgs...
  8. Donation on its way.
  9. Congratulations! It is surprising how much you can handle once you get it on and start moving around. You get used to how it feels and how you feel quite fast.
  10. Welcome fellow Badlander! I'm down in Swift Current. Perhaps we will run into each other sometime, somewhere!
  11. The icomm has never worked properly for me. First one failed twice. I sent it back the first time for a repair which didn't last and tossed it after the second failure. I have the TK-Talkie now which has been working, but there are just so many settings that need tweaking to get it working properly. So a version of the simple plug in icomm with a better battery system would interest me. I plug in a headset, plug in the amp, turn it on and get the static bursts and no tweaking. Just works. Bart
  12. I just started getting random logouts again starting yesterday. It had been working fine after doing that for a number of weeks a couple months ago.
  13. I'm back to being logged out whenever I leave so it was only working as expected for a few hours this morning.
  14. As of this morning, the problem is gone. I'll see if it stays gone.
  15. I'm using Edge. It started happening out of the blue.
  16. This just started happening the last few days. I keep getting logged out of the forum where as before I stayed logged in. If I leave and come back 30 minutes later I have to log in again. It used to just keep me logged in so long as I regularly visited the forum. I've made no changes on any of my settings and don't see anything about this setting regardless. Any insight? Thanks..
  17. Congratulations on your first troop! Looking forward to seeing more from you as you continue with this adventure! Bart
  18. I wish I could have a rubber E-11. Pretty much impossible to get it in Canada and can't order it in from another country without it getting taken away at customs. Bart
  19. Congratulations! You are correct, trooping is a great way to combat depression. I can totally understand where you are coming from. Bart
  20. It would be cool to have a troop count sticker for my bin. I have next to nothing on it now. Bart
  21. I have no idea why I opened this thread and read it. Bart
  22. You don't need to wait or look for an event specifically for recruiting new members. You can attend any event they are at that is open to the public and chat them up. A lot of the bigger ones will have people on hand specifically to chat with the public and they will be more than happy to talk with you. I can tell you from first hand experience when working at a club table that the day is much more fun when people come up to talk about joining. Bart
  23. It should also be mentioned that depending on the supplier you can commission the build leaving you with just doing the final adjustments and fitting for yourself. This is the route I took because I didn't have the tools or the skills to build from the ground up. At the end of the day, building it yourself or having a commissioned build your still trooping once you get your approval and that is when the real fun starts! No one here is going to be anything but helpful regardless of which path you choose. You'll be in good hands here. Bart
