  1. Thank you! ? When starting building my suit I had Centurion as a goal. Didn’t think it was achievable at that moment though. But I stayed on course and got a lot of help and guidance what to do and what not from fellow troopers and this forum. EIB and Centurion submissions have been a huge help too as you can get tips from the D.O teams comments. ”Troopers helping Troopers” I hope I can pay it back in the future ?

  5. The first few ab for providing you guys with flexible and very robust material built to last are ready. Here are the details for those interested. I will post the purchasing details on my FB page. The first one below is the first out, but the others are much better (see picture in thread below and the one after) Dimensions 105cm long x 30cm high x 6-9mm thick. There is a lot of material, prep and consumables to create this ab. I want this piece to be available to everyone, so I'm not really counting my time much in this mostly want people to get them as it is really not easy to do. I have tested to wrap it tightly for several days to see if I can ship it in a small footprint and it doesn't deform, so all good. I will probably ship them in a hard 3D printed cylinder to protect that you can use for carrying afterward just like I have. This is a raw casting, you will need to trim it to your size with a very sharp razor blade (recommend that you don't cheap on them and use multiple to trim it completely to your size) The wax used to release the rubber does create a bit of surface finish unevenness, but I have rubbed it on the other casting with some dishwashing soap and it gets way better. I'll try to take pictures of how I added straps and velcros on it. To have a nice joint on the right side to keep them together, I did make a special velcro with rigid sections. The Ab is flexible, but not too much as you don't want any deformation while wearing it. I used a balance between rigidity and flexibility so that there are no 'pockets' while wearing. NOTE: The pictures below are with the worst lighting condition to expose the variations to a maximum, it's way better/ not noticeable with standard lighting, and when it's on you with the armor overlapping. This is a rubber casting so there are always tinny defects (the ones in the movie are way worst from up close :). The color is even everywhere on the casting, but the surface finish variation in these light conditions show like a bit of variation of color but is not showing when wearing . Also, don't forget that the bottom 5cm will not show, as the belt is overlapping it all around, same for the top portion. The dust can easily be cleaned with soap and water of course. Try not to put water on the back side, as the foam rubber is porous and will retain water. Enjoy!

  7. Hi Brent, Thank you for your patience while we reviewed your EIB application. Your armour looks great but there are a few things we are going to need to be fixed to get it to EIB level approval. Lets start at the top and work our way down. Please feel free to reach out or ask questions if you need to. Everyone is here to help and wants to see you succeed. Helmet Your helmet looks great, but we are going to ask for an adjustment to your vocoder paint job to make it look more screen accurate. This should be a pretty quick and easy fix. References Shoulder straps Your shoulder straps appear to be uneven when viewed from behind and from the side, the right side has the proper curve to allow it to sit flat on the back armour plate but the left side is a bit too straight. A bit of time with a hot water bath will help to curve the left side to match the right side. References You may also consider trimming all or a portion of the large tabs off the back of the shoulder straps. This is not mentioned in the CRL but is highly recommended for a more screen accurate look. References Posterior Armour Your posterior armour is dropping away from the kidney armour in the front corners and is flaring out at the sides. We would like to see it hug your body a bit closer and follow the line of the back armour. Some strapping in the area shown below should correct the issue . A bit of a warm water bath may also be needed if the kidney armour needs some shaping. References Many troopers have opted for V tabs to help hold the alignment between the posterior and kidney armour pieces. Thermal Detonator Your thermal detonator control panel is facing a bit too much upward instead of to the back. This can be corrected by carefully unrolling the lower portion of the clips to roll the thermal detonator down. CRL L1: The white control panel raised ribbed pad faces the rear, with the controls/round washer style detail closest to the right end cap. References We will also need you to make some size adjustments to your thermal detonator as the overall length as well as the length of the control panel are about 2 cm too long. You can achieve this by carefully removing the control panel and trimming it in the area shown to remove about 20 mm. For the overall length, if you remove the end cap on the side opposite the circle detail on the control panel and trim the grey pipe back about 20 mm, this should allow the end cap to now cover the hole in the pipe from the bracket and make the detonator the correct size. Lower leg armour CRL L1: The total length is approximately 7.50" (190.5mm), End caps are approximately .78" (20mm)in width. References The screw type attaching your clip to the thermal detonator are not the correct type and should be changed for the correct ones. References Lower leg armour Your shins are closed in the back with the inside portion overlapping the outside. This should be reversed as mentioned above by @gmrhodes13 References For your Sniper knee plate, the edges along the back portion should be angled and not curved for a more screen accurate look. This should be a fairly easy trimming job. References Blaster Your blaster details look great but unfortunately there are still some print lines visible. We will need you to do a bit of sanding and refinishing before approving you for EIB. CRL L2: 3-D printed blasters can not contain visible print lines, and must be sanded smooth for a more realistic appearance. Your magazine is a bit longer than those seen on screen. Removing the end plate and trimming it back, should correct the issue. For 3D print files, the files on thingiverse and printables created by Bryan Roller have a shortened version of the magazine that can be printed. In addition, it appears that your Hengstler counter is positione a bit low as it appears to be touching the rail of the folding stock. References

  8. Thank you. Now that it's "done" and more thoroughly photographed, I'm going to try to update my build thread further so it can be of help to others. Lots of trial and error in this suit but I'm happy enough with the end result. I still have some upgrades planned, and my TLJ submission won't be far behind this, though the Denuo Novo forearms have some well known quirks that give me pause for concern. I'll feel much better providing guidance to others once my suit is certified at L2, though I currently have no intention of pursuing L3 due to the rubber gasket requirement.

  10. Obviously it would depend on how large your glasses and your head is. Some people can, some can't.
