  1. As a few of you may know, I semi-retired, sold my house and bought a new 5th wheel to hit the road! Finally got my "TK man-cave" organized, but needless to say at 10 ft x 8 ft. it's tiny! While it's probably what most might would definitely consider TK overkill, it makes me happy so I thought I'd share a few pics.

  2. There´s no such thing as TK overkill - it look awesome!

  3. I think you’ve got plenty of room for more TK stuff. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  4. Have a look through some of the build threads, you'll find a lot of tips and tricks in those. Make sure you wash all the parts with soapy water, sometimes than can be residue of release agent on the armor. Good luck and looking forward to the build.

  6. Those tube stripes should ideally be a Proximal Phalanx (finger bone) distance away from the upper mandible.

  7. Well...changed my mind. The Skull feels more ”at home” with Sandtrooper armor. The Tatooine sun has taken it’s toll so to speak so weathered it

  8. Right. Duh me. I'll go make myself another cup of coffee ASAP. When the CRL is complete and green she'll need to fill out the application for membership so she's in the database. Then the LMOses will work with the GMLses to get her approved. The trimming of cover strips is totally up to FISD. Another note: The CRL text in the first post probably needs mention of the squared of thigh pack if FISD wants to make that a L1 requirement. -Eric

  9. Thanks Mike. The photos look good enough to me even if some bits are out focus here and there. The cover strip on the one thigh goes over the ridge. I'm ok with it but I'll leave that, and a no/no go on rest of the photos, up to Sarah and team. Below is a wee test. I was a little worried that they'd be too dark but after a little bit of fiddling they're easy enough to brighten up. Someone with better photoshop skills will be able to deal with the red color bleed through hue onto the white parts. I suggest this costume be called The Force Unleashed Stormtrooper in the CRL. Once FISD is happy and the CRL is green we'll tell your (our) GML to approve you. -Eric

  10. Can do. I haven't sent anything yet - the stuff is still uploading to my imgur.

  11. Mike, I suggest posting the CRL photos here for LMO and detachment review. It’d be a lot easier than email for both parties to see them at once. -Eric Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  12. CRL and application photos have been taken. Submitting to the LMO team now. I will be linking this thread along with the others I used for reference. Also, I don't remember if I mentioned this before, but this costume isn't for me. My partner, Holley, will be wearing and trooping this costume.

  14. Ugh. All this fine tuning is taking for-evah! I have lost weight since I began this build (10 lbs to be exact!), and am at my goal weight of 108lbs. My weight loss has resulted in my TK thighs being too big for comfort. Something I've learned about fine-tuning a TK is that if your kit fits well, it doesn't make a huge amount of noise. If it's too big somewhere, you will hear your kit loudly! When I first tried on my kit to see how it all fit together, I was shocked about how much noise it made! (FWIW, my fully completed stunt TK makes a little clacking as I move, but it's relatively quiet.) And the biggest noise maker were the thighs. They were huge. I realized that I needed to tear them apart to size them down further. It was an easy fix to take off some excess plastic, but it's the time to get things glued back in place that slows me down. Ah well. So here's the back before fine-tuning, and after (sorry about the crooked belt!): And the front: I am still dialing in the shoulder bells for mobility, which is why I don't have them on in the current pic. But I'm happy with the progress and am glad that the finish line is in sight!

  15. I have built a couple of KB props FO's for my garrison mates, I currently have a couple of video on Youtube on how I did it. I also just helped a member in AZ finish her KB Phasma, she just needs to paint it. I have also helped some Californians build there armor, one mailed it to me and two others came down and I helped them build the armor over three days.

  16. I feel so inadequate right now...... I've been trying to figure out how to get all of my pieces attached. I wanted to cut the ab and cod plate into two pieces for more maneuverability but wasn't sure is that was o or not. My self esteem is now shot. LOL
