  1. Added some bling to the field pack cover

  2. So, still waiting for my pack and I have a couple of other little things I’m waiting for. I also have to finish that T-21. But I went ahead and submitted pics for basic approval. Here are some pics. I have a few dressing issues and perhaps some strap fine tuning that I will revisit for upper level pics (arms keep riding up for one and my one pouch slide around), but I’m pretty happy with it. Let me know if I missed something. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  3. A few mor things done. Finished off the helmet interior and some final sewing. Thigh garter done. Shoulder straps. Elastic. I had my wife sew up these little white nylon tabs with a loop. I added Velcro to the backs of these and to the inside of my belt. Wired the nylon tabs to the small Spanish pouches. For the helmet I lined most of the interior with Velcro and added fans. The fans are Henry’s fans from Trooperbay. I didn’t bother with the switches and I don’t need the extra long wire. I added some weather stripping to help dampen sound (they kind of rest on the hovi mic bumps). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  4. Sorry, I took a much needed break from armor building. But, I’ve had my first troop as TK 18131 and now I’m ready to make some modifications! First,@Cricket, here is the pic of my kidney/butt connection with the armor on. In the second pic, months ago (without asking FISD, I know, shameful), I put some ABS paste to try to fill in the mini notch. So the question remains—- fill the notch? Cut the butt? Or say goodbye to higher level approval chances?? First, question— so this is my first time to wear armor for extended periods (not just sizing)— does everyone feel sorta “clunky” and uncoordinated? Or is that just me? Next— looking at some pics from the con... 1– Left shin. I have a stirrup, and it’s still twisting! Gotta fix that! 2– Thighs, particularly left thigh. Remember, how I shimmed my thighs. I’ve lost weight since then (now at 53lbs total), and my thighs are way too big. I’ve stuffed them with foam, but I’m so unhappy with how they look, fit, walk, etc. They just feel huge. And do this wonky sideways thing. Ugh. I’m obviously not gonna gain the weight back, so may need to look at new thighs... 3– Also with the thighs, definitely going to have to cut some mobility room in the back. Had to climb stairs and that was a feat. 4– Gonna sucks it up and shorten the forearms. And tackle my fear of recreating return edges. 5– A handful of other small tweaks. But looks like I’ve got about another month before my next troop. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  5. Hot water bath is a lot more gentle than a heat gun, sure you can use one but you do need some practice before hand, ABS goes from pliable to molten mess in the blink of an eye

  6. Haha I'm too small! I'll deal with sizing later. I'm sure I'll be the smallest trooper in my state haha! Sent from my LGLS992 using Tapatalk

  7. Hello guys! Some updates to come ASAP, only limited access to the internet these days, I hope to share with you all soon. I'll tell you as far as I can recall them: handmade recoil spring, bolt and cocking handle fitting, barrel fitting, grip fittings and receiver modifications, D-ring and its housing... I'd like to upload some pics but it's really impossible at the moment. Hope you'll understand. Cheers from Spain.

  9. Looking good, Taylor. [emoji1303] Just a little thing - if you’re going for the usual 15mm coverstrips on the forearms, I’d suggest you consider taking more excess from the front to create the correct “ridge” look at the front. As per the below pic, the ridge sits only a couple/few mm either side of the coverstrip. If you were to put a 15mm coverstrip up to yours, it looks like the ridge would be quite large. It looks like you have plenty of room to play with, so any excess that needs removing to fit these parts to your arms can be trimmed from around the back. As the front is the main part that people will look at, personally I’d prioritise the front of the arms over the back. Best wishes Dan :-)

  11. Hey Joe, where you going without that gun in your hand? As Haui and Tomas have pointed out, the weathering is a personal choice. I think your E-11 looks quite fine, the only comment I'd add is that if anything, I might lighten up the T-tracks a bit! because they weren't metal! and therefore probably wouldn't show the same type or degree of weathering as the metallic parts. That is just an observation by me though. As stated earlier, I think it looks good, and at the end of the day, if you're happy with it, then there is nothing else to discuss. Nice work!

  12. Would it be possible to get CFO added to the list of makers, rather than having to choose 'other'?
