Those machined counter chassis look perfect! I can only imagine the cast ones will be super accurate, looking forward to that. This project is really coming together now. It will really be something to see this through from the beginning! This kit will be legendary in the community, and it will be unrivaled in terms of accuracy from any other commercially available E-11 blaster kit.
FYI, *do* keep the comments coming. I know it may seem disappointing that all my not make it in to v1 of the CRL, but at some point they all will be. Remember, the Legion used to allow out of the box FX at one point too, and sandtroopers with ANH TK drop boxes, sniper plates, and ab plates.
Hi,
I am trying to figure out how to correctly assemble the bíceps of my TFA TK.
The CRL states that it should only have the front seam and the rest should be seamless. However, I have also heard that it is more accurate to also have the inner seam, and now it is clear that in TLJ it is going to have a seam and even an overlap.
Is an inner seam acceptable for TFA?
Well I guess it's no use, Apparently now that we've done all the leg work and research on this pack here on FISD it's being given away to MEPD.
We know now that it's clearly a Stormtrooper pack, not a Sandtrooper pack. So I had high hopes like many others that standard TKs would finally have a BackPack as an optional accessory, but I guess not. Both this "Crystal Patrol Duty Pack" and the other "Sandtrooper Type 4 Fieldpack" from Rogue One are going to MEPD, I was told that FISD was getting this one but apparently now we're not. I'm not even sure why they call it MEPD anymore, most of the listed costumes are never seen anywhere in Mos Eisley. I think it's high time that detachment changed their name in my opinion.
After a long hiatus, I'm back to trimming out my armor. It's been tough getting back to my researched threads since the overhaul. A lot of great build images are no longer hosted. But I've found a few more to reference, so here goes my first major armor trim, the shoulder bells: Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
This is why I want to join the FISD. You all are such an amazing and uplifting community.
Not going to lie I started getting scared seeing all the differences popping up. But I think with my experience with fiberglass and Jims armor in hand I should be able to get all these changes incorporated.
You all are inspirations!
Looks great Daniel! Deadening the bucket interior with black is such a worthwhile mod for so many reasons. And with a tote that size you should get EVERYTHING in it including bucket and blasters. It means no extra bags. I love mine! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
You, my friend, are a steely-eyed missile man!!!
This worked PERFECTLY!!!! I just had to start it with the edge of a utility blade and then I replaced it with a rigid 1 1/4" putty knife (not the flexible) that had somewhat of a bevel. As you indicated, all I had to do was to gently tap it down with a small gunsmith hammer.
I didn't freeze as frankly I didn't have the patience to sit around and wait.
Thanks again for the advice!!
I'll upload more after I make dinner alterations which include: - harvest tears from Black Series helmet to more closely match R1 screen - replace elastic straps attaching cod and butt with nylon to torso to minimize movement and gaps I excited in first wear - add more snaps and elastic straps to close torso (or go on a diet) - trim shins length. I bought Jimm's tall version but despite being 6 feet 1inch I only have 32 inseam which makes shins rise too high above my knees. Kit isn't really made for this alteration so I'll tread lightly. - watch more YouTube painting tutorials and try again. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
