  1. I've seen at least one person glue their trim. Personally, I've not had to as the trim just wedged into place. I'd imagine a little E-6000 would be okay. At least then it's removable if required. :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  2. Hi all, this will be pretty much copied directly over from my post in the UKG but I thought I'd share over here as well to get feedback on my build or even help someone else with it. So today my BBB turned up from Ross and I felt that child-like excitement! I went with the 2mm ABS and had Ross build my lid for me as I was not confident in painting it at all and I feel it would have held me back a lot. I already know I want a hero helmet to sit next to it though so I'll be grabbing a kit for that at some point to build myself, no way am I missing out on the helmet building experience completely. So far I've got my armour kit and Sondico undersuit and I'll be ordering the rest of what I need next week, so it looks like I'll be spending my three day weekend trimming my armour with my trusty lexan scissors. I spent a little time tonight rough trimming some stuff and removing return edges on the belt bit etc. to get used to using the scissors a bit. I also dry fit (with masking tape) the padding for my lid. It turns out I have a large head so wasn't able to pad it as much as I'd have originally liked but I'm happy with how this fits and feels so I'll get the velcro tabs out tomorrow to properly fit them. I'm also pretty sure this is my first ever selfie... Images to follow.

  3. There are a LOT of build threads that have used the snap system. It is what the majority of us use, and some even go with a "double snap" method. If you look through the Centurion submission threads in this section https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/72-request-centurion-status/ you will see some great examples. I myself prefer it as I find it very easy to get suited up, and I like that the various pieces of armor all come apart. My buddy Jeff (Wingnut65) has a great diagram here if you need it: (This the "double snap" system)

  4. Cool thank you! I'm going to buy the strapping kit off of TrooperBay.com, that's the traditional correct? I was trying to get as close to the original as possible, but would you recommend a snap system? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  5. Congrats on getting your kit. I remember when mine arrived and even though I opened it immediately, days went by before I considered starting it. It took me almost a year of slow but steady work and now I am a Centurion. Steady as she goes mate. Best of luck!

  6. Completely defining what this means to me in under 25 words is imposable but here it goes. Growing up all i wanted to do is play with star wars toys. Now at 41 all I want to do is play with star wars toys.

  7. Oh cool! Congratulations on your kit arrival. Are there any differences with the 2017 kit that you have noticed? I've heard some talk of helmet tweaks... I ordered a kit late last year as well. If you don't mind me asking, what was your order date? It might help give others who are in a similar situation some idea of how Anovos is doing with order fulfillment. Thanks, I'll be stalking your thread to learn more about your journey! -Dana

  8. Wow thanks for the responses . I guess what made me really notice the difference was I recently saw a helmet for sale with a really high brow. It looked like a TK except in the description it stated it was an unwethered sandy, so that is in line with all the above. And yeah I guess ANH TKs were all over I did a little digging here and there was a shot of a squad from what appeared to be right out of the film and the brows were all over the place. None of them appeared to be in the same spot.

  9. Wow. With a post like Sha Sha’s I do not want the prize but in the spirit of the FISD I would still like to post my 50 words, if anything just to formally give some thanks to all those out there who help others so generously around the FISD community: This is the most positive community I know. I receive nothing but selfless help from members worldwide including USA, Japan, Europe, even a soldier who PM’d me between duty. My goal is to honor those who help others, by making centurion armor they can be proud to have helped build.

  11. GREAT responses, everyone! I gotta answer a question raised by Tisco2K, though... "Who doesnt love stormtroopers ..." Rebel scum, that's who.. LOL. You are absolutely correct though, Charley. Any TK who has been on a troop with members of our sister organization will attest to the fact that people would rather get a pic with a Stormtrooper. We are just that cool.

  12. Hi Mike, I did exactly the same with my first lid. A lot of the colour charts available still show gloss rather than satin. Easy fix though. Build is looking good. :-) Dan

  13. If you're going with original bracket strap system. I'd work with that. And if it fits and doesn't rub you. I'd try it like it is.could it lose an 1/8", maybe.
