What is the proper way to display your TK ID?? With or without hyphens/space?

1) TK #### (with space, no hyphen)

2) TK-#### (with hyphen)

3) TK#### (neither space nor hyphen)

I have seen all three versions. Thanks.

There is no official proper way to display TK ID.

Generally I like to use TK-6918 but sometimes certain login's won't accept the hyphen or a space between TK and the numbers.

I use all three from time to time. Wasn't a hyphen used in the script?

In the subtitles for A New Hope, it says "TK-421, why aren't you at your post?"

*Factoid: In the earlier scripts from Lucas, it was actually listed at "TX", not TK :)

Maybe that had something to do with Lucus and the whole THX thing.

TX-6465 reporting in by the way............ :salute:

Great catch on the subtitles. I used the hyphen at first, but then noticed on the members gallery on the 501st web site that they use spaces.

I think in the novelization it says "THX-1138, why aren't you at your post?"

I generally use a hyphen, but I've never put that much thought into it.

The THX comes from one of Lucas's student short films called Electric Labyrinth THX 1138 4EB (THX 1138 4EB - USA Title) which is where the security costumes in "Fanboys" come from. They are designed like the security costumes from the THX movie. Lucas wrote it and made it as part of his film studies. So he does like continuity doesn't he???

I know, I'm a trivia geek, goes along with the Star Wars geek thing. :D

I don't think it matters how you display your ID, but when I'm officially a TI :tie: designation, I'm definitely using a hyphen just to set it off from the numbers.

THX-1138 was made into a full length feature. Not a bad movie, weird, worth a rental.

True, and he re-did THX-1138 in 2004...I guess as a "fix" like the original theatrical releases for ANH, ESB, and ROTJ. Very interesting film.\, but I digress.
