WHo made this helmet?

Recommended Posts

Mmmm... the images are of very low quality.

It doesn't look like a Gino's, AP or TE2. Neither a SDS or MRCE.

The AP has a clear bump, and this one lacks it.

The TE has sharper detail than this one.

Looks a bit like a GF... or maybe a TM.

But I'm not sure.

Let's see what the experts have to say. :)

One of the distinctive traits of RT helmets (mine anyway) is that the bumps on the earcaps are molded into the ears, versus being separate pieces. Another is the black on the vocoder is a sticker, versus being painted.

At least it is untill you have had it in the house for more than 5 mins, then out comes the Humbrol :D

There are quite a few versions of the RT, he modded it a few times and then included the cast TE face plate.

Joe

EDIT: The cap/back looks GF to me. Weird....

I know it's weird..it seems to be a spot on RT, but then i again i remember the detail on the ears were very soft, unlike on my AP.. my friend says he just heated the bump on the eye to remove it..

Are you buying this helmet?

I might buy something similar but i'm having second thoughts..Oh well

There is a prop maker called MonCal, it looks like his.

Fascinating - I didn't know MonCal made TK helmets. He makes many other things, but I haven't ever seen him hawk TK lids that I recall.

Glad I'm not the only one surprised by that post.
