A little more forward progress today. Thighs are done with inner cover strips on both sides. I added a cover strip to the inside of the shin today. Last piece to glue is the rear cover strips tomorrow and that should be it.

All that’s left is rigging for the thighs, connectors for the shins, rigging for arms, chest to back plate and the inner lining of the helmet. Almost there...

It's a good idea just to round off the sharp edges on the inner strips too ;)

I use snaps on the arms in case I need to swap the elastic out as it can stretch over time.

Common setup below:

Power cells on the right knee... ok to use glue for basic, yes? Actually, looks like the rivers might be less time consuming either way...

You will find you will need both to get it to sit properly ;)

Looking good! :th_AnimatedBravoSmiley:

I would recommend you paint the T-tracks semi-flat black and the grip semi-gloss or gloss black. Just for accuracy's sake, but not needed.

(BTW, that paint you've already done looks nice!)

Thanks! Yep... have some gloss for the grip. The primer I used cane out rough in spots, but now that I look at it it makes it somewhat battle worn. I bought some hammer forged spray paint, but it was just too glossy. The effect would have been nice though.

In the future, you can spray it with hammered to get the texture, then go over it with a light layer of flat or satin so that it is dulled down.

Getting close to completion. All that is left is the garter system for the thighs and the pads in the helmet. Also the cod connector. And the hooks on the shins but I’ll do that after Halloween. Today I added Han loops to the biceps and connected the thigh ammo strip which went well. Not so well was the sniper knee plate. It shifted and is slightly off center. I might go back and readjust later if it’s too big a deal. Many thanks to Tony for his wonderful parts on the shoulder straps which saved me time and heartache. 012a2490235eefabc9bb0acad3dcd70b.jpg&key=1ae0428e3cef7a8748c923ee2daba726907b0c0c390534c6ccaa1ca5b5f06c64019c72a57a784345dfb2b27c60f813f5.jpg&key=376765c9bf126fc6202d1fc1278cdaf7db9a64cc1335ad40c346afeda98e0e51eb2ccded44f9d64364957168c21a5e7c.jpg&key=e04c8109959258bb211c0e1cb85dda14b3a362fb51ed69e64beb1db6e0b7fcb6

Scope and counter could come forward and counter could also be a little higher.

Rapidly nearing completion. Test fit the top. It’s hard putting it on solo. Big lesson learned... put the biceps into the shoulder bells FIRST lol. Didn’t do that for the test, so it was uncomfortable and wonky, but everything seems to be coming along nicely. So close...

Looks good. Biceps look a bit low when your wearing it, is that cause the issue with putting it on? They look perfect in the shot of them alone.

If you look closer you'll notice they are not hooked to the elastic.
