11b30b4[TK] Posted January 7, 2019 Report Share Posted January 7, 2019 Zeddy, page 4 of my build has a respectable paint guide. As for glossy vs flat. Everything white is glossy, all the details on the ab plate and sides are glossy. The grey on the TD and helmet is flat. the black brow is flat and the neck seal ring is flat. I shot my entire helmet then applied a gloss to everything but the brow and neck. I shot it all with HVLP gun. the color I used was Ford Frozen White. Most have been using a fabric, some use tape "On the RO helmet the tube stripes are completely cut out and for the screen used helmets, they were backed with blue painters’ tape." Reference Yeah, that's the info I had also heard several years ago. In my opinion the color seems a bit lighter than French blue or painter's tape though. I was just wondering if there had been any additional insight on a matching color. I have recently heard from a reliable source that at least on the Kenobi production helmets, the backing was a blue molded plastic, similar to a tupperware type material. This may be what we're seeing in these shots as well, I'm not sure, but the other details of the interior here match what I've seen from the source.
